I''m such a BRAT!!

As some of you may know, I recently discovered a scratch on my newly acquired marquise diamond. I have been moping around in private, angry at myself for such carelessness, and not wearing ANY jewelry at all. I didn''t think anyone noticed...

...but guess what I found on my computer when I came home from work today?

A brand new pair of diamond studs, with a note attached to it. "Hopefully these will cheer you up. Try not to drag your head around the floor and they wont get scratched. ~Mom"

Instead of feeling happy, I feel like such a brat. Like a little kid who whines until she gets her way. (I didn''t whine, of course, but I did throw some stuff around when nobody was home.

) How could she tell I was upset? Am I really a brat?

Anyway, here are some pictures... they''re .62ctw, G-H, SI, set in Martini 3-prong earrings. I don''t think they''re super-ideal cut, but they look gorgeous. Lots of fire!

Your new studs are beautiful. I don''t think you were being a brat- as I see it, you were just very disappointed. I think your mom is amazing and very sensitive to her daughter''s feelings. By the way, it was probably almost as much fun for your mother to give them to you and brighten you up as it is for you to wear the studs. I always love to give gifts. Too bad they can''t all be diamonds

I do love these earrings... and my mom is fantastic. She always knows just what to get me to make me feel better!
Do my ears appear a bit plasticky to any of you? I just realized they look kinda fake.

I am currently vacationing in Denver, so can't type much. It's FREEZING here! I'm from S. California, so 60 degrees is considered cold for me. It was 18 degrees today... I practically froze my ears and nose off, and I'm not even on the slopes yet! And the altitude... whoooaaa.... i've been dizzy since I got off the plane. Hopefully i'll feel better tomorrow!

Yes, i love her dry sense of humor... In hindsight, it''s hilarious, but it sure drives you nuts when you''re already upset.
