I'm Thankful for...

Oh My God, lknrb4, I would agree your son has someone watching out for him for sure! Thank goodness, and glad he is ok. As a gunowner, it DEEPLY upsets me to hear that some people are so stupid. I cant believe that person didnt have it locked in a safe, much less loaded around kids! :nono: Just terrible.

lkn- Your son has some guardian angels. That homeowner should be utterly ashamed of themselves! It is people like that who give gun owners a bad reputation. I wouldn't be too angry at your son, all children are curious, but I'd have something to say to ex husband and his friend.

I'm thankful for the new doors that have opened the past couple of weeks.

I'm thankful my mom is done with chemo and is finally feeling a little better, and I'm very, very thankful her cancer was caught early.

Lots of prayers and positive thoughts for all that need them.

It upsets me too. I grew up around guns because my dad hunts. The guns were always locked up and we knew they were dangerous and to respect them. The guy whos house they were at was like 70 years old and used it to shoot at the trees to get rid of birds. I get upset everytime I think about it.

A healthy baby (as far as I know)
A wonderful husband
2 crazy, but cuddly cats
My sanity lol

My mum is still alive 5 years after being diagnosed with stage III breast cancer

That both mine and FI's parents and grandmothers are alive and well

The good steady jobs we both have

My health (although I'm home sick with tonsillitis right now!)

My FI saying "my happiness is now inextricably linked with yours"

The generousness of my parents and in laws in wedding related expenses

Hard times will surely come, but life right now is wonderful.

Im thankful that my 7 year old son is unharmed. He was with my ex-husband this past weekend at a bbq. My son found a 22 in the garage of the place the party was up. Idiot of an ex husband told him to leave it alone. Ten minutes later they heard the gun go off. My son had pulled the trigger. Luckily it was leaning up pointing towards the garage roof and fired there. My baby could have been killed or killed someone. I am so mad at the homeowner for leaving a loaded gun out when he had a party with seven children running around. Furious that my ex was not smart enough to put it up and not pleased with my son for not listening. I realize kids are curious. I think he has angels watching out for him.

Good god.
Guardian angels watching out for your son and all the other guests that could've been injured, indeed.
Thank goodness!

I am thankful for the people in the world (such as yourselves) that care, love and cherish the ones around them, those who fulfill their lives in whatever shape or form! More specifically becuase these are the important people in my life, those who look out for me, care for me and love me!

I just thought of another huge thanks I owe.

Next month will be 2 years since a horrific car crash that took the life of my aunt and another driver and injured (severely 3 of my cousins) All three kids, after extensive surgeries and therapies are physically perfect!
