Hi all,

I have this diamond on hold and am requesting live video / pictures... but was wondering if I could get your opinions on the images. Anything that jumps out to you, concerns you?

Thanks so much in advance.

1.8ct
E - (I feel that I'm fairly color sensitive when seeing stones halos, and I'm putting it in a halo and tend to see the contrast between the melee and centers pretty easily, and my skin naturally has a bit more yellow hue to it so maybe stone tend to pick that up too.) I think the color is GIA E and not AGS E but I have to check.
Si2 - told it's eye clean. I can't spot inclusions to save my life anyway.
GIA Cut Grade: Excellent

THanks for your thoughts!

I forgot also to ask about the first image -- the areas that I usually see green look yellow. Does that mean that there is more light leakage in those areas, or maybe those window don't allow as much reflection?

In the diamexray a little pink in the area under the table, is that normal?

Thanks

Beautiful stone! As long as it is eyeclean, I see nothing at all that would concern me! All the images are just fine. The photography techniques vary from vendor to vendor. Looks like you have found a nice one!

Oh, and it is GIA E color, which means very icy white!

Thanks for your reply!

I think will get live photos today.

I like the idea of E color, but I think if I wasn't putting it in a halo I would've been more interested in a G and then saved some money. I am a little afraid though with the contrast between tiny little white stones and the larger center stone, even if the pointers are G in color that a G colored stone would look yellow in comparison. It seemed to be that way to my eye when looking in b/m stores at sample halos and different colored stones.

What do you think about the price for this particular stone?

that is a nice well cut stone...

I would definitely make sure that it is truly eye clean. Other than that it looks gorgeous.

I think it looks fantastic  and if Jonathon confirmed that it was eye clean then that would be good enough for me.

Thank you guys for your replies.

I've been working with Sarah, who has been wonderful! I received the live pictures today and they look nice. But, I guess I am a little disappointed that the stone has only faint fluoro -- I think those strong icy blue stones are just breathtaking... very, very pretty.

But, if this price for this stone is a really good price, then I'm not entirely sure I want to pass it up to just hold out hope that a similar one with stronger fluoro will come along... though the strong blues are soooo pretty! I dunno....

So I guess my question for your guys is:
Is this stone just an amazing, no-way-would-you-pass-it-up price for the specs?

I'd personally get something cleaner. A few options taking into consideration your wants:
