I hear that this is already on its way to you, and that it is the same stone I saw...which means NO WORRIES! That is a stunner and the facet pattern is amazing!

Congrats to you Gllotd for finding te stone. I ha e no doubt it will be great!

Sorry for not posting faster...

Have been out of pocket and also had computer issues.

Thank you all for your comments and I did receive the diamond. It is very nice. I thought you all might want to see some pictures of it so here they are.

Let me know your thoughts. I am looking at setting it in a custom pave band. Sounds strange but I am concerned a bit with the size (a bit loud for our style) and the price is pushing $16k. Pretty expensive.

Thanks again. You all are fantastic!!!

It''s beautiful! Great choice! Nice and white and chunky, just the way I love them. It looks like my guy but with a more rounded culet, as opposed to my rectangular culet.
I understand your size concern, bc I had/have the same issue. I don''t think that size will be too big for most occasions and activities. And if she feels it is you can always just get a really nice band for her to wear when she doesn''t want all the bling factor...
She will love it, bc most importantly it is a gift from you! Congrats!

oh wow!! that stone is just gorgeous. I can understand being concerned about the size but after it''s set and she''s worn it for a little while she''ll get used to it and it won''t seem too big at all. i think a pave setting would be perfect.

Its beautiful, Glloyd!!! Dont worry- its going to be beautiful, and your gf is going to love it!!!! Who will be setting it?

It''s AMAZING. And not too big at all. Just gorgeous. She''s going to adore it!

ERD was going to make a custom setting. Any thoughts or suggestions?

I wouldn't go custom. I'd ask Mark if he can get the ritani endless love solitare (not halo) for you. If what you want is a micropave solitare, I'd go with a quality brand name setting.

Gorgeous!

As others have said, it WILL look smaller, pretty quickly.

Go for it, I really don''t think you''ll be sorry.

Agreed. Mark''s work is FAB, but if you want a delicate pave setting, I would definitely go for the Ritani Endless Love setting (without halo). Its just gorgeous!

I am going to tell you the god-honest truth...if you decide that amazing stone is too big for you, and send it back, I''m going to consider it!!! It is a phenomenal stone and few like it are available. Trust me, she will love it!

O wow, great stone - Congratulations! Can''t wait to see how this one turns out.

i echo this too. if i didn''t end up with what i have, the ritani endless love no halo was at the top of my list for a cushion.

Agreed again! I have seen Mark''s work, and if Leon wasn''t an option I would have def chosen Mark for a custom setting. His work is really beautiful too... But unless you want some diferent and are being very particular about little bitty details, I think that there are some awesome pave settings out there to chose from without going the custom route... But if you really want custom, go for it...

Oooh, what a gorgeous stone! Really pretty and a wonderful size! Count me in for another vote for the Ritani that others have mentioned. It's a really amazing setting for a cushion without a halo. Another option would be to have Leon Mege set it for you with one row of single cut pave all along the shank like Tiger007g's ring (below): https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/leon-mege-and-antique-cushion.42904/. Her ring is set E/W, but I think it'd look lovely set N/S with your stone. Congrats on finding such a beautiful cushion and please post pictures once it's set!
