The ring has landed. It''s in the house. Hidden. I have made a deal with myself that I will not look for it. Even though he told me it was in my office. Which is where I am sitting right now. Does he WANT me to find it? I asked him ... are you hoping you just come home & I''m wearing it and you don''t have to propose? He just laughed. Maybe he''s screwing with me and it''s not in my office at all. He''d hidden an extra box in his desk drawer with a note for me that said "You didn''t think it would be THIS easy did you" ... but he SHOWED me that one. He even offered to let me see it if I really, really wanted to because "It could be a while!!!" But I said no, ''cause most of me wants to see the finished product on P-Day. Most of me. There''s rebellion afoot.

How ... will ... I ... make ....it ?

Seriously I think it is just short of evil to have something like that where we could find it and not give it to us. Really it is like they enjoy messing with us. (Just remind him not to leave it in the car, I remember reading about someone losing theirs that way.

AAAAHHHHHH CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!! Man, that is so exciting! I thought my diamond (still loose) was in my apartment the other day and I was already going crazy from that until finally I agreed to do the dishes or something if he told me, and then he said it wasn''t. Hehe. But still I am SO EXCITED for you and hopefully he won''t wait long!!!!!!!!

I''m kind of glad I''m not going to know when he picks up the actual ring because I think I would totally lose my mind. Right now I''m still at the "It must not be finished yet" stage, but that''s just because he only bought the diamond on Monday, so I''m sure I''ll get increasingly crazier as time passes.

The nearly TWO WEEKS the ring was in the house before FI proposed I nearly flipped. However, I did find the appraisal and knew he added more diamonds, I didnt want to find the ring (i mean i did, but i didnt). I''m the one that wanted the suprise, he wouldve just handed to me, the suprise is definately worth waiting for! Unless it kills you in the meanwhile

What, he doesn't trust me? (Yes, yes, with good reason) Hey, if I found the jeweler info, with number (and NO, I didn't call it) and he got all panicky saying, "You didn't call, did you?" is that a good thing? Or am I reading into this way too much? I guess that means he's outsmarted me, with the whole hiding at work thing. Or MAYBE he really hid it at home... and I'm too gullible? I don't know how you're keeping yourself from sneaking around!! You are stronger than I am!! But I also say, Good for You. The surprise will be great. He really trusts you, and that is even nicer.

******UPDATE********

I GOT TO SEE IT!!!!!!! Hoo-ray!!! And found out that while incredibly devilish & crafty, my Sweetie is also very, very kind!

First off, lemmie say that I could have turned the house upside down yesterday to no avail ... as he was playing some semantics games with me. "I HID it in your office" is very different than "It is STILL HIDDEN in your office". Turns out he briefly stashed it there and while I was watching TV (instead of carefully monitoring his every move - silly girl) he hid it somewhere else and then, the next morning TOOK IT TO WORK WITH HIM. I figured this out myself and he cracked a smile letting the cat out of the bag.

Then I asked if I could change my mind about "a peek" ... He said "do you wanna see it?" and I was like "Kinda yes, kinda no - I don''t want to ruin anything - what do you think?" And we went back & forth until he was like "Wanna see where it''s hidden at least?" OF COURSE. And he took me to the front hall and reached into his jacket pocket & pulled out a box. "Is THIS what you''re looking for?" And I was all wide-eyed, mouth hanging open. And he''s like "Cause it might not be -- I got FOUR boxes to hide & THREE are empty!" And I''m like "Unnnh". And he OPENS the outer box and shows me the inner ring box & it''s much fancier than the Dummy one he showed me the day before. And he''s like "Want me to open it?" And I can''t decide. So he''s like "I''m counting to five ... four... three...two" ME: YESSSSSSS! And he pops that thing open and the light that jumps out is unbelievable. I am literally blinded. And I''m screaming "AIIGGHHH. I CAN''T SEE. I CAN''T SEE" Cause my eyes are all blurry and I''m afraid he''s going to close the box again before I can FOCUS. And I''m screaming & he leads me into the kitchen where we both stand near this "interrogation style" kitchen lamp thingie and I can finally focus my eyes and IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I''VE EVER SEEN. So I say "IT''S THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I''VE EVER SEEN". And we hug & kiss & he snaps the box closed, and when we unclench I say "Can I see it again?" And he hands me the box and I pop it open and IT''S GONE!!!! He''s palmed it. And the look on my face must have been sheer devestation, so we both laugh & laugh and laugh and he says "I have a better idea" and he SLIPS IT ONTO MY FINGER! And I start screaming again "AIIGHHH AIIIGH ..." and I believe perhaps jumping up and down. So again, I can''t focus so I stop and look at it on my finger and IT''S INCREDIBLE. More kissing and I can feel how comfortable it is on my hand and say (hee hee) "It''s so comfortable!" Then we look at it again and I exclaim "It looks SO BIG!" And he''s like "I KNOW!!" And I''m like "Wow!" and he''s like "Okey dokey - that''ll hold ya for a while" and takes it back

and starts packing it back up and tells me I have to leave him alone to hide it again. I half expected him to propose right there in the kitchen full of unpacked boxes ... but he reminded me he still has to get an independent appraisal and wants to do that first

So, I finished the laundry in the basement and he hid the rock and we went back to snuggling in front of the TV.

Whew! I''m so glad he lemmie see it. Turned out to be a very special moment on it''s own that we''ll have to remember besides the proposal. I''m glad I saw it WITH him & not by myself sneakily ... so he could see & enjoy my IMMENSE JOY and excitement and enthusiasm

for "real". Sadly no pix though ... it was a whirlwind and I don''t think either of us would have been a steady shot. I can''t wait to post pix though ... and mostly, be engaged to the CRAFTY/KIND DEVIL who actually only ordered two boxes, not FOUR.
