Of course, he has started to hide things in his office at WORK!!

Not wise--a guy I work with had a custom made diamond bracelet hidden in his locked part of his desk and didn't realize that management has keys to all of that stuff. A former member of maanagement who knew about it actually stole the bracelet and blamed it on the cleaning crew getting several people fired for no reason and gave it to his wife for an anniversary gift. It wasn't until about 2 weeks later and a police report had been filled out, that at a company function that he spotted the manager's wife wearing the very bracelet. He stormed up and tried to politely ask where the wife got the exquisite piece and she said her husband surprised her with it. He damn near beat the crap out of the guy that stole it (who was right there and nearly shat himself) and that member of management isn't in the company anymore and is now separated from his former wife who returned the bracelet to my coworker.

Moral--not safe to store things in an office.

Oh yes, I know your ring, the one you have no pre-engagement pics of (yes I did a search when you said you were cheating in your e-ring

). You are a much better person then me. I would have found it, worn it, and photographed it before the engagement. I have no will power when it comes to stuff like this. Hopefully it will happen really, really soon!

After finding out that the "sparkly" was re-hidden in my office, all will-power exhausted ... I started an all out HUNT hoping to find it and sneak a couple pix (which I would have had to PM each and every one who was curious ''cause I still wouldn''t want to get caught "posting" pix

)

And about ten minutes in, I spy IT.

A sliver of a corner of The BOX. On top of my bookshelf, near the ceiling.

So ... I grab it, tear off the lid and inside ... IT''S THE PRETTY BOX. And I drop it into my hand and flip open the lid and ....see that darn note again: "You didn''t think it would be THAT easy didya. (heart) D"

HE GOT ME AGAIN!!!!

Then I just laughed and laughed and laughed and when he got home I confessed. He swears it really is in there - but he wouldn''t have left it someplace so easy to find.

So .. as that Soup guy used to say ... "No pix for you" ... YET!

**** FURTHER FURTHER UPDATE ******

So… for those following the IN DA HOUZZZE cat & mouse game happening around my place the last few days – I don’t know if I’m the cat or the mouse but there was some more action in the chase …

Saturday morning, my boyfriend had told me he was going to get the ring appraised & had to take it out of its hiding place. OF COURSE I was not going to leave him unattended any longer!! (Had to figure out how he was thinking!!) Turns out the ring was hidden inside the old, dummy box like I swear A COUPLE INCHES from where the “Ha Ha gotcha” box was …behind a few books on the same bookshelf. Clever Sunbitch, ain’t he?

Well, while he had it in his hands I thought “why not give it another shot?” So I’m like .. “Can I seeeesss it? Just for a minute?? Pleeeaasssee?”. And he looks at me .. with both boxes in his hands (dummy & real) and starts shuffling them. Puts his hands behind his back and is like “You can if you pick the right box”. Well … I guessed right!!! So I got another peek. But, of course, that wasn’t enough for me, right? So I’m like “ Let’s play again – 2 out of 3”! And he leaves the room saying Nah, Nah … but then I hear “I’ve got a better idea” He comes back in with clenched fists. “How ‘bout we play, you pick the hand, you keep the ring?” AIIIGHHH!!! But I quickly remember how many times I’ve been fooled. Notice the term “the ring”. Right? Could be a bubble gum machine ring! And I’m like “You don’t have the real ring in there” And he’s like “Wanna play or not?” And I’m like – you’re totally tricking me”. And he’s like “Pick a hand” and so I do and I’m wrong. “Oh well – I didn’t want a gumball ring anyway” AND HE SHOWS ME HE HAD THE REAL RING IN HIS OTHER HAND. AIIGHHH!!!! And I’m like “Let’s play again!!! Let’s play again!!!” And he shuffles his hands behind him and says “Pick!” AND I GET IT!!!!! And I’m screaming. And he puts it towards the front of my finger and asks me if I’d like to wear that ring & be his wife --- very simply and sweetly. And we kiss and hug & kiss some more and then when we separate I put both hands behind my back and say. One hand is “yes” one hand is “no” … PICK A HAND”. And he laughs & laughs and I laugh and he says well the one with the ring on it is probably a safe bet & picks that one & I pull out that hand and say “That hand says YES!!!” And then we took a bunch of pictures of the bling (as he said – “for your Pricescope Pals”) and went on a pretty, fall day walk with our dog to the place we first kissed (parking lot) & took some pictures there & went back home, phoned family & friends, went to the movies & then to dinner & collapsed right into bed & slept & slept & slept. It was a perfect fall day yesterday too… and fall’s my favorite season. Bliss. P.S. -- I am trying to get him to call me his “Beyonce” instead of “Fiance” – cause I think it’s funny. And now – what you’ve been waiting for … THE PIX.
