Also, exciting!!, yesterday on the plane I discovered the lighting required for some fireworks!!!

I think as an old cut it's a bit more difficult to find and capture, but I'm super happy I did!! (I most lights the stone is a glow, rather than a fire, ya know? Even in darkness I can see it, but capturing the light play is a little difficult).

So I was going through Ksmom's original thread (because I have way too much time on my hands!) and had some questions about my (our?) ring, which I emailed to Adam. I received a prompt reply with the following information on the history of the diamond, The stone is an antique, not a diamond cut to look old - 100%. Your diamond is approx 100 years old. Which I find quite exciting! I wouldn't have minded either way but now I love it even more!

He was not able to shed any light on the stamp inside the shank though. There is no Leon Mege stamp or 750 marking, but this may have been removed during the resizing, or be because the shank is so thin. There is a stamp that says 552, it's very faint though. Maybe this is Leon's style identifier? Ksmom if you see this and have any clues please let me know?

Hi totallyfree! You are very kind to suggest that the ring is 'ours' but she is all yours! I'm so happy you're enjoying it. I had hoped to set my current stone with Leon in an identical setting, but he apparently is no longer setting cushions that aren't purchased from him!

How strange, I thought the ring had Leon's signature logo on the inside of the shank... I never noticed the 552 either. Could you post an image of what you're seeing? Sorry I'm not much help.

It's taken a few days but I have managed to capture an image of the '552'. It's a very light stamp, not sure if that means anything?
