Hi @motownmama ! Yes, I'm so happy with how it turned out. I won't be using the wedding band I have with my solitaire above, but I'm thinking to maybe do a curved band with small diamonds. right now, I'm wearing her solo and might not mind wearing her without a band as well (hubby is not too strict with me) :)

Thanks so much @luv2sparkle I think the reset was the way to go too! I love the solitaire before but thinking I want it to look a bit different. I'm glad the reset turned out well :)

Thanks for the kind words, and yes I do love the profile too! I actually got this setting at diamondmounts at Ebay, and I think Alex absolutely did a great job! The ring is not my e-ring so I didn't want to spend too much on the setting. I think the quality, and detail definitely surpass the price I paid for this setting. It is comfortable to wear, and the pave feels smooth to me. The halo stones are G/H and looks white, but since its smallat 1.1 mm and set in rose gold, it definitely helps blend with the warmer center. I hope that helps and good luck with your project as well!

For the band,,, I need to do a bit more research on what I wanted to do, but maybe a curved band would be nice (: I just need to be sure that it doesn't look too white and contrast with my ring too much... Maybe something like this one in rose gold. What do you think?

Love this reset, the halo really defines the oval shape as well as making it look bigger (bonus!)

Oval is a 1.05 ct, J color, with good dimensions at 8.52 x 5.83 mm. Halo has 1.1 mm G/H stones. Absolutely love this size halo as it helps highlight the center stone and doesn't have a noticable color difference to the center. Metal is 14k rose gold.

Hi @motownmama yes, I'm definitely in love with the oval! And I'm so lucky to have my ER (this is so precious to me), and the marquise. I don't have the yellow diamond anymore but I'm definitely lucky to add pieces that fits better to my style (:
