I started out wanting a Princess for my engagment ring because I like square stones. Then somebody introduced me to Radiants - which can be square too! Then Cushions entered the picture! Why are there so many???

I''m trying to build/find my e-ring and possibly matching band. I was orginally going with a cathedral setting with sidestones and princess center stone, but somebody suggested that a bridge setting would let the center stone pop more AND that a radiant would look bigger than a princess of the same size.

So I started researching the Radiants also.

I want something in the medium big range, not HUGE but something to make people say "oooh." I want something that is sparkly (who doesn''t) and catches a lot of light with angles. Probably about a .45-.75c center stone?

GOG doesn''t have many to choose from, but I have seen a few on JA, but only a couple. My prince range for the whole set is $2500 or less. Any help would be great! Thanks all!

This is exactly what I like, but am flexible to something that would be better for the center stone. ;)

Does that include the wedding band? Because with that price range...I dont think you will be able to find that setting
and a nice size stone to go in it. In your price range I think it would be get to get as big a stone as possible and maybe
put it in a wide solitare (that simiulates the wider setting you like). Then at a later date (when more funds are
available) upgrade the setting to the one you like. Thats just my 2 cents.

With that being said...have you seen this setting at blue nile? You could then find a stone for $1200.

Yeah, I was beginning to figure that it wouldn''t be in my budget...isn''t that the story in here LOL?!?

I might just go with a solid wide band for the e-ring I guess, then get a diamond wedding band. Is there some kind of band that I can buy plain now and add princess sidestone diamonds as I go?
