I'm interested in an inexpensive setting for the following tourmaline pear shaped stone I recently purchased.

where would you go in LA?

what settings would you suggest?

I'm interested in a setting similar to the attached photo. Thank you!

likely halo, with melee around the band

I do not know your budget and expectations. Your local jeweller can order for you from Stuller or Adwar's stock catalogue or if you are a touch more daring, eBay has vendors such as Lanbo and LOGR (Lord of Gem Rings) where you can order the setting and have your local jeweller set it.

How inexpensive are you wanting to go? There are a lot of differnt vendors in downtown LA. I've used Jewels by Nicole for several settings. Ask for Rose. She's great to work with. http://www.yelp.com/biz/jewels-by-nicole-los-angeles

Will stop by there. How inexpensive are the settings from Jewels by Nicole?

They range from $600-1000 or even more depending on how elaborate. They're good quality diamonds and hefty metals, so they're not "cheap" but definitely less than most PS online vendors. AND you get the joy of instant gratification because you can just plop the stone into a setting, love it, set it and take it home, all in the span of an afternoon.

sounds quite nice! do they have a halo setting with melee for the band that would fit a pear shaped stone?
