Anyone watch this on Monday? I actually watched it on Tuesday night due to TiVo. Anyway, I love watching this yearly (Even before I was engaged) because the ideas are so great...if you can replicate affordably!
I loved Jamie-Lynn & AJ's wedding the best...and they were so sappy. It was quite funny actually, how he was crying by the tree because it was about to rain on the wedding. HEE HEE. And what about that horribly gaudy 17 carat ring that Shaq gave his wife? ICK! There is such a thing as too much. And his ring wasn't exactly tasteful either.
Anyway, I thought a few things were touching in the entire show...especially as we near our own wedding day. When Jamie-Lynn said that she must have done something really great in her life to deserve this...that really choked me up.
Also when I think it was Wynona was saying that sure we all attend alot of weddings and you always hear the vows, but when you are up there at the altar and you are speaking them for the first time, and saying the words 'I Do'...it is so different and really strikes home that this is happening to you...
I thought that was probably so true!!
Lastly, along the same lines someone on the show was saying that when you realize the moments at the altar mean THIS is the moment, and you will never have that particular moment again...that really made me tear up as well.
Memories are one thing, but definitely after watching the show I am going to be sure to cherish every moment of the ceremony and the entire day...because I'm sure that feeling you have when it's happening to you is a combination of surreal and joyous and replicating that in your mind for the rest of your life will most likely never live up to the intensity of the actual moment.
Okay enough sappiness for me for the day!
