I have NO MONEY at the moment to actually get this ring set, probably won't happen until next year, but I have the components of what I think/hope will be a cool piece!

Center stone: Dana/Master Cut Gems lavender/silver/grey modified asscher spinel, 7.2-ish mm (I'd have to find the gem paper to get the exact but I think it's around that).

Side stones: 5mm color change garnets that move between purple, and teal/green. I LOVE them - they are so very cool! I tried to capture some pics.

I've always wanted a 3 stone square/trillion combo!

Love the colour combo in your 2nd picture.

Super cool color combo

Thats great that you were able to find two matching color change garnets. I love the concept of your ring, and think those two colors, teal/blue and crimson/burgundy, would go very well with the platinum silver color of the spinel. I love how the garnets seem to change color to the same degree and continue to match.

This will be a very pretty ring!

Funky! I think it's awesome to have cc side stones, only that finding such a pair is incredibly difficult.

WOW - thats lovely - in both colourways, and so totally something I would wear. Very jealous and cant wait to see the finally finished ring.

Can I ask - where did you get the matched pair of CC garnets?

VERY cool!

Thanks everyone! I got them from someone on the Bistro (can't remember which vendor she said she got them from) and I was nervous that the colors wouldn't work with my spinel, but I think even with the change they do go with the lavender gray. The camera makes the change more distinct, I think IRL the change is not quite as dramatic...It also seems to do the same thing with my color change sapphire. I'm actually really loving the combo of shapes, I have always wanted a 3-stone ring with a square flanked by trillions.

KT, I love your color combo and your idea for a ring! I saw those trillions on the Bistro and thought they were so awesome. They go perfectly with your asscher, great job :appl:

Hard to say.

The white balance is so far apart in those two pics I have no clue what the stones' color might be.
There is no way your skin (or the gems) can be both colors.

I think the problem is on the original image on my iphone, the color "mutation" is not as drastic as when the image gets posted on PS - I just looked at my original photo on my iphone in the light i have in my office at the moment (which woudl be the left image) and my hand is not that weird reddish color! :o but the color difference is definitely teal blue/green changing over to a purply shade. If I have time I'll see if I can get something more accurate...but I can't adjust the white balance either on my computer or my phone. :((

let's try this one, another of it looking very tealy-blue-green on my camera but apparently not working well for posting....

i think the three go together very well and you will have a very lovely ring!
