Intergem in seattle?

Hi guys,

I'm thinking about attending the seattle intergem show either later this month or in Nov, but i'm not sure if it's worth the drive (live in BC). Has anyone been? Are the vendors decent? I want to check it out to see a whole bunch of tsavs to get an idea of I like before I continue my hunt for a tsav. I'm also interested in getting a few inexpensve settings for a few unset stones of mine...

I've never been to a gem show but I'll be in Seattle this weekend anyway, so I plan on checking it out! Can't comment specifically on the one, I have been to the Denver Intergem and it was a good one. I used to do the CMAG wholesale show in Portland and the East King Co. Gem Show in Bellevue as a vendor, ater I moved to WA; CMAG was strictly wholesale to jewelers, but at the time, anyway, the EK show was small, but had great vendors.

I do not know what to advise. I started this post several times and stopped because I am not in your shoes and know only my own outlook. Our shows are definitely not the biggest ones. Last year I was pretty lucky, this spring was discouraging. I am going to stop by this time, but just for one item.

I tried to put myself in the shoes of a person living in BC, and came up with a small "vacation package". Intergem Show, plus King Tut exhibition which is practially in the same park. (It is the last time for King Tut in North America.) And there is also a new opera, "Turandot", with an unbelievable male singer. His voice alone would be enough to drag me out from Vancouver and through the Canadian border, but this is me . Sorry for being unable to give better advices.

P.S. Sorry, I missed one point. I never saw "a whole bunch of tsavs" there. There was a very good vendor coming, but I did not see that company last time. But you can get tons of inexpensive settings.
