Hi, All! The Intergem show will be coming to Saint Louis next weekend, and my husband and I plan to go. I was wondering if anyone could recommend some good vendors to keep an eye out for when we are there. I've been bit in the butt before, but that was BPS (before Pricescope). I feel a bit more informed now, and I know you guys know your vendors. I realize there are more shows in other locations on the same weekend, so the vendors are not necessarily the same from your shows, but I was hoping for a general "try these guys if they are there". Thanks!

Vance Gems (Bill & Elke Vance) and Prima Gems (Jaimeen) both are excellent and a lot of fun!

Thanks, jbkhere. Your previous post was the one that reminded me it was coming, but I didn't want to hijack the thread. Love your spinel, btw. Can't wait to see what you decide to do with it.

Ditto that! Keep an eye out for the Sarosi family (not sure if I spelled that right) and I'm not sure if Nomad participates, but both carry plenty of amazing eye candy.

Nomads will be in the Intergem Idar Oberstein. If anyone of you want to drop by, they will be welcome!

I agree! I had a great experience with both. I purchased a small group of Sphene from Vance and a really gorgeous Andradite/Mali garnet from Jaimeen at Primagems. Highly recommend Jaimeen, we had a conversation about what I was looking for which was a rather unusual combination and he was able to set me up with a perfect stone within my price range!

Thanks to all who offered suggestions. I did not see any of these vendors at the show. Maybe our market isn't good enough to draw the best of them. :((

I did see a few possibilities, but I couldn't pull the trigger on anything. I decided to emulate those of you who show such patience in waiting for the perfect stone. My problem in the past has always been buying something I like, but don't necessarily love, just for the sake of having a new piece of jewelry. Then I regret it later because I have something pretty but not really special. So I'll just keep saving my pennies till I find "the one".
