LOL....I would too! These are just random design photos...not my place....I WISH!!! :)

This is where I really live (hahaha...KIDDING...still want to come live? ) :) The funny thing is, I just got this off of realtor.com and picked a crappy neighborhood in Queens, NY and it's STILL $300,000 for the ghetto! LOL

I wish I could tell you I was surprised, LOL. Things ain't much better in downtown Chicago price-wise...

LOL MMM...You are hysterical!!!!!!! Really, is that your bathroom???????

I''m on the hunt for a *perfect* grey blue, too. I think I''m close after 5 tries already. I need a sample of Pensive Sky and Rhino from Behr and base my decision on those.....We''ll see. Every blue I''ve tried looks like a little boy''s room. I told DH that maybe we should just go with one of those and paint airplanes and clouds on the ceiling! Forget the crown moulding!

I loooove the MS furniture! Anything toile is my fave. When DD was a baby her nursery was lavender *fairy* toile. It was the most precious...She''s since graduated ot PB Kids pinks and yellows (Juliana). A little more boring and not so Posh Totish.

I wish that was my bathroom....there's a shot of my stupid bathroom somewhere on here...I'll try to find it!

Gosh, I can't remember the name of the blue gray I got for my den...I know it was Glidden although I generally go Ben Moore...I think it's around the same color strip as Maria's Aria or something...or Glass Slipper....very nice...Just follow your instinct...put them all together and see what your eyes go to first! That's the one!

I have to say that the Restoration Hardware Atmosphere Blue is REALLY nice. I did a patch test and it's darker than it looks but not too dark...Shore color is also really nice....I like a nice blue but not a cold, harsh blue so these fit the bill! I got some (of course discontinued) toile bedding last year and I bought spare fabric I love it so much...It's a tad tropical but with old school boy and girl and dog...Might be a shot of that here too!

Here is a shot of my bathroom walls...this was the lighest color on the strip...hard to tell in a pic though...

subwaytile.jpg

I love old school (e/t crooked bc the 1920s room is crooked LOL)....This is just a TOUCH less grand than the bathroom posted LOL...

bathrm.jpg

Here''s the toile....This is a quilt...I also have the duvet, etc...I''m crazy about toile too!!!

toilebed.jpg

This is my rug....

PLEASE POST SOMETHING SOMEONE...so I feel less self absorbed here LOL....I really tried to do a compilation...really! LOL

bedrug.jpg

OMG!!! I love you BR tiles. I love hex tiles and almost put them in the boys BR. I do want to put subway tiles up the BR wall, though...It''ll be easier to clean, if ya know what I mean. I love subway tiles, too. I have them in my kitchen as the backsplash with metal deco tile inserts. And your tile moulding piece looks great and really finishes it off nicely. Love the toile!

LOL...!!!

Thanks! These were very cheap- from American Olean...Hubby almost killed me bc I had ordered more expensive shiny subway and changed my mind and sole it on ebay for a loss LOL...It was really a nightmare though...and I almost couldn't find their chair-rail..Thank god for JohnBridge.com "tile your world" forum...!...My contractor didn't speak English that well and really hated working with the hex...which I clipped myself with tile cutters to go around the show drain b/c I hated the pieces he set down...Yes, he hated me!!!, and hubby is (love him) useless LOL...It was a freakshow and nightmare! :)

Toile rules b/c for some strange reason, it's so neuatral! I'd love to see some pix Miranda!

Ugh...sounds like a pain in the bootie. All of our tile was done by the builder before we moved in so we didn''t have to deal with contractors and fun stuff like that. I''ll post some pics in a minute...I''m trapped playing Sorry with the kids right now...they are so crabby that I am PSing while we are playing.

OK...here are a few... This is the living room sofa. I got a loveseat because it is a small room, but, now I am wish I''d gotten a full sized sofa. There''s strange space in the corners now.

lrsofa1.JPG

Here''s the only chair I have in there now. I think I''m going to put it on the other side of the room and get a very small half round table and two parson''s chairs for this wall now. I have some coordinating fabric I bought to make pillows with for the sofa on the chair.

LOVE IT!!!!!
What that loveseat lacks in size, it certainly makes up for in style. What a great shape! And I love the color of the floors too!!! I think you have a real eye!!!!!!!!!!!!! More more more pix!

Ok...I''ll post more AFTER the toys have been cleaned up and after I eat...I''m starting to shake from too much coffee and not any food! I''m on west coast time so we''re just getting up. I''ll start a new thread with my living room woes.

Miranda, I love your floor color...that is my fav. I did my floors with a special mix, sort of a dark cola color and I love it...

Note: Restoration Hardware''s Atmosphere Blue is very blue. Too blue. On second coat of primer. Nails and back broken. Send chocolate and advil. SOS.

Oh no MMM - sounds grim! (And I''m laughing *with* you, LOL!)

I love your subway tiles and the color. And thanks a bunch for that tile link! I build homes, but in another city, 90 miles from my home, so I don''t know many contractors in my area. I need lots of tile work done in my daughter''s now deserted bedroom suite. Ya know, changing colors and style. Thanks a bunch MMM.

Oooh...Bad news! I''m on the same mission...It''s to Home Depot for a quart of Rhino and Pensive Blue tomorrow. I''ve already been through several samples .... I''m a complete paint psycho. If the color is not PERFECT I go crazy. I''ve been trying for the right blue since Aug. Sorry about the nails...

And in case anyone has noticed, yes, I'm painting on new year's eve LOL...Hubby and I are just hanging out together tonight....low key this year...LOSER :)

Johnbridge is a great place ann...Some of those regulars are really talented!

My den really has the perfect gray blue imo opinion, but I've realized that so much of it has to do with light....And I don't remember the name...I think it's Glidden WHite Rapids????? I thought it was Mariana'sWaterfall or something but that's not it...
Miranda, I have been through RH's Atmosphere Blue (too blue), Glidden Glass Slipper, Etherial Light, Eternal, Fostora Glass, Miriana's Waterfall, Blue Haze, Faithful, etc etc LOL...So I totally understand...I had no Lowes close by....I've also done several Benjamin Moore's with no luck....Have you tried the Martha Stewart colors?

I'm done priming and it's back to Benjamin Moore's China White! ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ LOL...BUT, what I did do was leave an area above my bed blue and it actually looks good...like an extended headboard....I'll have to take a pic...but still can't find my card reader/cable...

No, I haven''t tried MS paint. I''ll look at that. Thanks for the tip. If you go to http://www.behr.com they have a color finder that may be helpful. I''ve used Behr before with great results. I used American Tradition (Lowe''s) in the family room/downstairs hall/part of the living room and it sucks!!! You can see a difference in all of the cutting in areas vs. the rolled areas. We''re going to try and fix it next week when we paint the stairwell and upstairs hallway.

I see you are a paint psycho, too!

That''s a lot of blues!

I keep meaning to take pics, too, but, things keep coming up...like messy children!

Oh, and don''t think of yourself as a loser...Think of it as secure and settled!

I am a daily lurker and seldom post myself. But, I just had to add my two cents in re: blue walls. I used Behr''s "Newport Blue" in our new home''s bedroom and love it. We bought two full gallons of other (ugly) colors that didn''t work. Then I ordered samples from Behr.com of all of the colors on the Newport Blue color strip and went with this one. It works perfect with our new pottery barn bedding. I''ll see if I can attach a picture. Its very blue, but has a great, soothing, spa-like aura to it.

MMM,
I love your bathroom. Who did it for you? How long has it been that way? My hubby and I wanted to do the same exact thing but a contractor said it was a bad idea so we were sad. The contractor said the little tiles come loose after short amount of time. How much was it to redo your bathroom??

I love that blue bedroom New Shiny. Pretty color!

Really pretty new shiny! And it's so funny, I'm set up the same way with four square pieces over the bed too! I'll have to post.....alas, card reader where are you!

Hi Skippy and thanks so much....We had it done here in NY (Queens) by a local guy who isn't exactly licensed LOL....well, he could be...I didn't ask....We had 75 years of tile and cement removed and a rotted shower removed, so in terms of price, you'll need to ask a few contractors to give you quotes for your space...I'm laughing at the thought of those coming loose...TOTAL BS....maybe that's why they can still be found in original floor work from say 1920!!! LOL...More likely, your contractor didn't want to work with them b/c they are very very difficult to work with unless they come on a *stiff* sheet...mine came on a floppy mesh! We just had it done last year maybe...Best of luck to you!!! I love hex!!! I wish I did the whole floor hex to be honest, but I'm glad I didn't b/c my guy wasn't exactly skilled...I plan on doing hex when we move into our forever home...I'll probably go to a larger hex (2 inches instead of 1)...

MMM,
thanks. I love them white with a few black scattered in. I LOVE them. Such a classic/classy look!!! I am guessing he didn''t want to do all the work like you said. Maybe our next project. We just did our kitchen and I got a new ring, so we gotta wait. I do love your bathroom!!!

Hey, did I mention I love your bathroom?!?!?! j/k.

dj, i love the crema bordeaux

that is at the very top of my list.

hey skippy, who did you use for the granite? i went to arizona tile but i really would rather ''one stop shop''. i was thinking about trying rocky mountain stone but would love a recommendation. i have a 45degree corner sink so i want to make double sure that i find a good fabricator/installer.

what''s the next project (rennovation wise!
27.gif
) mmm? it''s been far too long between decisions!

Belle,
We used Rocky Mountain Stone. Steve Bickel is the manager and was so helpful; 345-8518. I would go every weekend for 2 months until we found the slab we liked. They have rows and rows of granite to choose from and they call you when they get new shipments in. Several of my neighbors used them too! It was funny because one neighbor used them and then another. I guess word of mouth and good customer service works!!!

thanks skippy! what granite did you finally decide on? it looks like one that i was interested in but i can''t quite tell. is it indian juparana?
you''re kitchen looks awesome. hubby did a great job!

Belle,
Ah, thank you! You make a girl feel proud of her hubby. We went with Golden Sun. I know which one is Indian Juparana and that is very similar to ours, but I think the slab we picked is a little wild. We did not shop around. Our neighbors were happy and the price they gave us was quite fair. Let me know what color you pick. Post pics too!!!
