Miguel... Clarification issue- Is your $6,000 budget for the stone or stone and setting?

Stone and setting. Probably looking at 1 carat. I don''t think I can really go bigger with my budget and get some thing nice.
Sorry... I am slow (and appearantly a very bad at reading) I''ll shut up now

I would suggest you read tutorials posted here and threads from other people who asked your same questions. There are internet vendors who drop ship (never see the stone) and there are internet vendors who actually look at the stone, take pictures and can give you their opinion because they are real diamond experts. Then you want to call them and talk with a person. Sometimes you can talk to a sales person, owner, head diamond guy or whoever to help you along.

So do a lot of research and get a lot of opinions even from the people on Pricescope because everyone has their favorite vendors and some vendors are better at one thing or another. There is a wealth of information on how to pick a great stone by reading threads of people who have already done it.

The reason I ask, is because I think I found the setting I want at Good Old Gold, now it just a matter of making up my mind on the specs of center stone and where to get the center stone. The setting I like is the Solasfera Three Stone Ring with Pave Shank. Does anybody else know who else makes something similar to this?
