Invitation Temptation!

So, we've pretty much finished the DIY invites. There they are, sitting stacked in a box. Just. Waiting. There are 74 invitations going to 36 different cities in 6 different countries.

That means we'll get 74 little RSVP notes back from 36 cities and 6 countries. We did the classic thing and just wrote one line asking for a reply, and left the card blank, so it will be like getting postcards from all our loved ones. How much fun is that?

The littlest little girl in me keeps yelling SEND THEM! SEND THEM! Let the fun begin!

But the grown-up in me keeps shaking her head and saying 'It's too early. Plus, the Christmas rush in the mail = trouble.'

But I reeeeeallly want to send them! At least some of them? To my closest friends and relatives? Some of whom have already booked flights and hotels after all?

But then some might wonder why THEY haven't got their invitation yet.

So I shouldn't send any, right?

Patience.

Were any of you like this? All full of invitation-temptation?

When''s the wedding? I''d wait until after the Christmas rush if you have the time, not only because of the postal system but also people will not be bogged down with the holidays.

Yes, you are so right, Blu. That is the sensible thing.

Wedding Part 1 is March 29th, and Wedding Part 2 is April 13th. So, there''s plenty of time....

Maybe I''ll just send the ones to my parents, my grandma, and my MOH. They keep asking when they will get the invite, so I may as well oblige!

oh, i''m quite the opposite. wedding is march 15th, and i''m just dreading putting together the maps, detailed directions, etc. that need to go in the invitation envelopes. that and i can''t believe it''s all coming up so soon! one of these days i''ll put together a wedding-stuff thread...
