I agree. Especially when you really want a much larger diamond, another .2mm is not going to scratch that itch.
When I had my 1.7ct RB I went into a Tiffany store and tried on their newest simpla halo setting (embrace?) and on the hand it FELT the same as my 1.7ct! The halo did not make the diamond itself look larger... but part of liking a larger diamond is the aesthetic of the look of the ring on your hand. Boy a halo really gives a great look on the hand!
I am not so perfectionistic. I would be happy with a WF or ERD type of halo for $2000 to $2500 over a hand forged one for $5000 to $6000 .
