I found a gorgeous ring that I absolutely love. I hope that I describe this well enough, but it has 2 rows of channel setting diamonds that go underneath the main solitaire (kind of like a bridge?). The problem is that I was told that this type of setting could be a problem for a princess cut stone-which is what I want. They said that they could mount it with a princess-cut stone, but they may need to use a basket, for stability. The beauty of this ring is that from the side you can see the rows of diamonds going underneath the main solitaire. My concern and question is if they use a basket, will it take away from the beauty of the ring? I was told that you wouldn''t be able to tell from the top view, but from the side there would be two metal bars. Any suggestions/comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
