I think I might wear my hair down for the wedding. Is anyone else doing this? There aren''t many inspiration photos of brides wearing their hair completely down with veils. Has anyone seen this?

I plan on wearing my hair down, parted to the side, with loose waves. I may pull some pieces from the sides and pin them in the back, so that my veil can have a place to pin in as well. I haven''t found many pictures of hair down either - if I find any, I''ll post them for you!

I know Jeniffer Aniston did. Oh, and Eva Longoria - hers looked fabulous!!! I was considering it because my hair is too thick and heavy to be able to put it up in anything other than a bun.

i''m planning on wearing my hair down as well. i tried on a veil with my hair down, and it did not look weird at all. i think it also depends on the style of dress you''re wearing.

ditto to being down - my hair does not hold a style, so down will be best for me. plus my face is to square to be completely up

im doing my hair down as well

Here is a picture of Jennifer Anniston on her wedding day.. I like the look

Yes, I love hair down! I think Monica in friends had a beautiful hairstyle at her wedding (on the show). Great suggestions so far, it''s a beautiful look.

I could be mistaken, but didn''t Haven wear her hair down at her wedding? From what I remember (if I''m remembering correctly) it looked very pretty!

HouseCat how long is your hair? Curly or straight? What kind of styles did you have in mind? And what is your dress like?

I would love to wear my hair down, but it depends on how it would look in my dress. I guess I'll find out today at my fitting.

ETA: I just looked at a picture of my dress and the model is wearing her hair down, so maybe I can pull it off.

I wore my hair almost completely down for my wedding. I had my hair dresser take the tiniest bit from the top and pin it up, basically so I could attach my veil to a clump of pins. I also have a ridiculous amount of hair and it''s very full in the front so pulling up the bulk really makes it look better. I have side swept bangs and pinned them to the side.

This picture is actually from my hair trial, and I just stuck the comb into the top. Not the best pic, but I don''t have any in my veil on this computer! Looking at this pic, I think she actually pinned up less at the actual wedding. Oh the only bummer is the veil kinda smushed my curls so at the actual wedding my curls didn''t look so hot. At the trial they stayed in all day. So if you are goign with curls, have the stylist really spray lots of hair spray and use some heat to get those curls to stay in under the weight of the veil.

Loved wearing my hair down so I highly recommend it!

Ah - just found a pic of the back from the trial (went to a wedding that day) This was after 6 hours of dancing so without the veil the hair stayed in so well! The hair looks completely down from the back.

Hi Porridge,

Here is a photo of me (no face, sorry) in my gown. Sorry for the silly pose, I was trying to be funny

. My hair is really basic, bangs and straight. It''s a little bit longer now. I''m hoping it will be a few inches longer by the wedding in April. I was thinking a cathedral lenth veil with body on the top, like Jennifer Aniston''s. What do you think? I won''t wear my hair so straight for the wedding, but I don''t think I''m going to go for a ton of curls either.

Ohhh! Your hair is so pretty! Thanks for the advice about the veil smushing the hair. I hadn''t even thought of that. So much to think about on this day...

Thanks for the compliment on my hair! I love your dress! and I think wearing your hair down would look really nice with it. Since your hair is straight and your bangs are straight across, I would try for waves instead of curls. I think the Jennifer Aniston look would work really well with your hair. It''s so shiny!!!!

I saw my hair was kind of falling out, so I just left my veil on during the reception. The front looked decent so nobody else could really tell.

I''m surprised by the number of people wearing their hair down! Have you chosen a veil yet? As I mentioned to Porridge, I think I''m going to have to use a veil that is fuller on top. Are you leaning this way too? What about hair accessories? Are you using any?

I love this bride''s hair. She didn''t wear a veil though.

Thank you so much!! The halogen lights in the salon really make your hair and ring sparkle!

Yeah, the bangs pose a problem. I think I can''t go too curly because then there would be a conflict in textures. The truth is, I can''t go too curly anyway because my hair won''t hold any kind of serious curl.

I think I might. I haven''t decided yet though. FI likes my hair down, but it''s fine and thin and get''s tangled really really easily when it''s down. I might just leave it up to the hairdresser though. I''m not terribly worried about it...

I wore my hair down and I LOVED it! I have a wedding thread around here somewhere, but I can''t find it.

My stylist put in hair extensions, which were awesome. They didn''t really make my hair that much longer, but they did make it fuller.

The first picture is right when she was finishing my hair, probably around 7 AM, and the second was taken after our reception, so it was probably around 7 PM. You can see that my hair definitely deflated after all that dancing, but I love both looks.

I chose to wear my hair down because I don''t think I look like myself with it up, and I tend to think women look more beautiful with their hair down, anyway. It''s all personal preference, though. I know my DH preferred it down, too.

Thanks, Lilac! I didn''t see this at first.

I''m probably wearing my hair down and waved or curled somehow. still ''done'' looking but down. i''m just not an updo kind of a girl.

haven...love your hair!! beautiful! i''d probably do extensions too for fullness reasons. lovely!!

I wore my hair half up/half down. I don''t like my hair up and DH prefers it down too, so I wore it with some pulled back on top and the rest hanging in curls.

I did! I have straight hair, and I wore it down with curls. So, it was still a different look for me.

This is pretty much how I wore my hair but with a side part. My hair was also longer and slightly curlier.

Ditto on both counts...husband prefers my hair down, but it''s fine and gets windblown/tangled. I ended up going with part up, but mostly down. Husband liked it, but it fell out of place almost immediately. Oh well!

She looks like Faith Hill!

By the way House Cat, your dress is divine! Please tell me who did it and the name of your dress, please please!

My hair is about the same length as yours and I plan to wear mine just like that. My SO likes my hair down and so do I so why would I change it just because I''m getting married??
