Is it possible to add diamonds to a 2mm wedding band?

Has anyone ever done this? Did it turn out well? Here is my band, I was thinking of blinging it up a little bit

I was thinking of a row of small diamonds all the way around. Not sure of the correct term but i'd like them embedded into the metal.

I have added pave to the shank of 2 rings. Turned out beautifully as would expect since it was done by Steven Kirsch.

The material was platinum for both of my rings. I have not tried with WG but don't expect it to be a problem.

My ring is Palladium. I'm not sure if that will affect whether its possible to add diamonds or not. Did you supply the rings to Steven Kirsch? Do you have a thread with the rings so I can have a look?

I think Palladium would be more tricky. You might be better off buying a diamond band off eBay. Adding pave is not cheap.

No pics at the moment. I did provide both rings to Steven. I don't think he does this normally but as a favor to me because he is awesome.

I do have my eye on another band from BGD if its not possible to add diamonds to mine. I just thought it was worth asking to see if its doable or not. :))

It is doable but the cost will raise your eyebrows. I think getting a ready made diamond band will cost less than trying to retrofit your band.

Oh dear! If its expensive I will just buy a new band!

Ditto this. I'm currently "in the market" for a new band, as I have a 2mm one with .10ctw diamond chips as my wedding band and I want a new, more "blingy" one for my 5-year anniversary. The cost isn't bad at all for a new one, but I'd imagine that changing your current one will not be worth the cost of customization. Also, I'm guessing you wanted to add to your original band for sentimental reasons, but look at the flip side: You might want to make sure you have your original wedding band intact just in case you're less than thrilled with the results.
