Well DF, go get her watch overhauled. Websailor takes his Rolex watch off at night too but it does keep on ticking. Now I think its strange that he doesn't take it off when he does heavy duty yard work. And because of that, he has manged to scratch the crystal already when the watch is only 7 months old.Date: 5/25/2005 2:24:24 PM

the funny thing is,her watch dosen't glow in the dark plus there's a LCD clock with big green #'s right on top of her head.she said.... her watch would stop running within 24 hrs if she don't wear the watch 24/7. i do admit, her rolex needs a overhaul service.Date: 5/25/2005 1:47:11 PM

DF, now what is weird about wearing a watch 24/7? I went out and bought a watch the glowed in the dark just so I could see what time it was when I woke up in the middle of the night. Websailor thinks I am weird too, but I tell him I need to know if I have 4 more hours of sleep, or just 30 minutes when I wake up in the middle of the night. LOLDate: 5/25/2005 1:15:26 PM

At least it still works when dunked under water!Unlike a previous watch that wasn't quite waterproof and took an unthinking quick dip in the pool when I reached down to fix the pool sweep....
Yup, I do things like that
Yep -- DH forgot to check that one day and it wasn an expensive swim! Also -- I just dropped my rolex recently on a stone floor, and the crystal shattered. THey are sapphire, and I think a harder substance than the softer travertine. It must have hit the edge just perfectly. I''m not sure I''d swim with a chipped crystal unless you know it''s a non-penetrating chip. Otherwise you might be back to that expensive swim thing! (I think it was a $6xx overhaul instead of the standard $3xx.)Date: 5/28/2005 12:26:50 AM

I dropped my rolex on the tile floor in the kitchen & it shattered too (and it was expensive--$5xx four years ago). I was bummed because I had just had it overhauled. I swear the jeweler said tile was one of the few things that would shatter the crystal.Date: 5/28/2005 11:50:08 AM
