DF,
That is so thoughtful of you, how sweet!!!! My hubby wouldn''t think to do that. But then again I am obsessed with my jewelry being clean and sparkly!!!

DF, you''ve got websailor beat there. He won''t touch my rings.

Hey Df,
Do you do laundry too, if so you can come and help me out. You can even wear my ring!!!!

OMG !!!

i think i just found my pinky ring.
31.gif
isn''t your e-ring ring from Tiff & Co. ?

DF, Kaleigh does not mess around. Not only is her ring from T&C, it is E-VVS2 too.

What is weird about wearing a watch all the time? I wear my watch all the time - never take it off. I don''t even notice it. My aunt bought it for me probably eight years ago. It is stainless and waterproof.

I think it''s weird that a man notices that his wife''s rings are dirty and cleans them. My husband would never notice or care if my rings are dirty - he would only notice if I didn''t have them on. Most men do not notice jewelry - they only notice when their wife wants something new.

oh Lord
did the girls PM you to post this message?....LOL i'll let my wife know, shes the only one that wears her wedding set reverse. oh....another weird thing ,she wears her watch 24/7
33.gif
DF, now what is weird about wearing a watch 24/7? I went out and bought a watch the glowed in the dark just so I could see what time it was when I woke up in the middle of the night. Websailor thinks I am weird too, but I tell him I need to know if I have 4 more hours of sleep, or just 30 minutes when I wake up in the middle of the night. LOL
the funny thing is,her watch dosen't glow in the dark plus there's a LCD clock with big green #'s right on top of her head.she said.... her watch would stop running within 24 hrs if she don't wear the watch 24/7. i do admit, her rolex needs a overhaul service.
Well DF, go get her watch overhauled. Websailor takes his Rolex watch off at night too but it does keep on ticking. Now I think its strange that he doesn't take it off when he does heavy duty yard work. And because of that, he has manged to scratch the crystal already when the watch is only 7 months old.
Yikes! Will they replace it? That seesm awfully gquick to have something wrong with it...I wear my Brietling 24/7 never take it off. (I had one before took it off and it got stolen...so now I dont) Anyway if he is hard on his you might try one of these not a name as well known to the average consumer I admit but they are quite well made I ran over my B-class with a Bronco, long story, and it didnt scracth the face.
ETA: Now when I take off my watch to clean it my wrist feels weird to me. Naked perhaps? I am not sure but I just feel better with my watch on.

I wear my watch all the time, apart from bath/shower. Mine glows in the dark too.

I take my e-ring off for bath/shower and at bedtime, and I don''t wear it for work because it would get covered in crud (I''m a volunteer at a wildlife rescue centre) but otherwise I wear it all the time. I wear my wedding ring first, with the e-ring on top; that''s how it looks best because I have a pear. If I had a stone that looked better with the wedding ring on top, then I''d wear them the other way around.

My e-ring is a bit too big for my finger when worn alone, but fits perfectly when worn with the wedding ring. We''re weird in that we bought the e-ring after we''d already been married eight months.

Weird is good

Boy am I getting maligned here!

I''m going to have to restrict cflutist''s time on PS if this keeps up!!!!

cflutist

I don''t know why
emquestion.gif
For me it is simple - if it is dark outside, it is time to sleep....if it is light, it''s time to get up... Doesn''t matter if it''s fifteen minutes more of sleep or not...

NOT TRUE!!!! NOT TRUE!!! I''ve been very careful of my new watch from cflutist. I have definitely taken it off when I have done any heavy yard work. Yes, my crystal did get a chip in it..... I don''t know how...

Yes, that''s true.... she knows that I have chipped and scratched DIAMONDS, so there is no way she''ll let her jewelry into my hands...LOL! I can just imagine how much trouble I''d be in if I scratched her ring!!!!!!!!!!

Cflutist knows that I am rough on my jewelry and I totally forwarned her that ANY watch she got me was an endangered watch.... They usually last about a year but I have to admit that this Rolex is doing really well.....

emlove.gif

Websailor,
You and Mr. Kaleigh can commiserate!!! I gave him a new Rolex and it''s scratched already, Oh I could cry.

websailor,Kaleigh

the crystal on a Rolex watch is very hard to scratch but easy to chip along the edge.just like the girdle on a diamond.mine got a few little chips along the edge.
7.gif

DF, you are correct, a quick check with the loupe shows that it is a small chip along the edge, not a scratch in the middle of the face. Yeah, but its only been 7 months. No more watches for websailor.

emotion-5.gif
At least it still works when dunked under water!
21.gif
Unlike a previous watch that wasn''t quite waterproof and took an unthinking quick dip in the pool when I reached down to fix the pool sweep....

35.gif
Yup, I do things like that
emembarrassed.gif

cflutist
no fair.......hubby #1 gets a 18k Rolex day/date and hubby #2 (websailor) gets a s/s.
27.gif
websailor deserves a platinum Rolex day/date.
2.gif

ETA....here's something neat.on the newer model Rolex, using a loupe you should able to spot a little Rolex crown at 6:00 on the crystal. it's like a shadow, like a inscribed girdle on a diamond.

I wear my watch all the time. It's only off when I shower. I used to be so myopic that I had to wear a watch, I couldn't even see the numbers on a jumbo clock radio. I'm no longer myopics (woo-hoo, LASIK is a miracle) , and now I feel naked without it on.

Peeps, my husband details my jewelry (he details the cars too, with Q-tips), does laundry, and cooks.
36.gif

On the other hand, he leaves his socks in little nuggets all over the house, and when he brushes his teeth it looks like someone hosed down the bathroom. But on balance, he's awesome.

Yep -- DH forgot to check that one day and it wasn an expensive swim! Also -- I just dropped my rolex recently on a stone floor, and the crystal shattered. THey are sapphire, and I think a harder substance than the softer travertine. It must have hit the edge just perfectly. I''m not sure I''d swim with a chipped crystal unless you know it''s a non-penetrating chip. Otherwise you might be back to that expensive swim thing! (I think it was a $6xx overhaul instead of the standard $3xx.)

I dropped my rolex on the tile floor in the kitchen & it shattered too (and it was expensive--$5xx four years ago). I was bummed because I had just had it overhauled. I swear the jeweler said tile was one of the few things that would shatter the crystal.

And how exactly did I put a scratch 1/2 way across the face on the replacement crystal?!? I do wear it every day & for just about everything I''m doing, but do take it off at night.

Now you are scaring me!!!!! That sounds just like something I would do!
