I''ve never bought from QVC or JTV or any of those web sits before. But during my search for a new pair of gold hoops I noticed the 14k and 18k plain gold hoops on QVC seemed petty inexpensive. Does anyone here have any experience with QVC? They have some interesting looking chunky sterling earrings too.
Thanks.

I truly hate to admit this, but I have bought select items from QVC and you can find some great deals but you have to be real particular. Look for weights where you can. I bought the most gorgeous wavy gold choker that I still regret selling later on - it was gorgeous and an absolute steal! Then again, I bought some gold drops with large blue topaz briolettes. They looked lovely when worn but the gold mix turned my ears black. They were the only pair of earrings I ever owned that did that.

Oh and I also bought a large amethyst ring from HSN which later turned out to be synthetic yet sold as real. They were very good about it and offered a refund to everyone who had bought one though.

I have bought jewelry from QVC before. I''ve received very good quality jewelry. All my stuff is sterling, it''s all stamped, and it''s beautiful. I haven''t bought gold from them, but that''s because I don''t wear yellow gold.

I suggest looking at the customer reviews on their site too. The people are BRUTALLY honest and it can save you the shipping charges!

I''ve bought several sizes of the EternaGold hoops that they sell. They''re well made and don''t have nickel in them if you are at all sensitive.

As tulip928 mentioned, eternagold

I received some earrings which were eternagold, for a birthday gift perhaps 3 yrs ago. I wore them regularly, cleaned them and took care of them. Well, i just noticed at the beginning of the year the plating or whatever it is is chipping off and they are not turning yellow, but brown.

Id say spend a little more and get yourself a really nice pair of silver or white gold, or real gold for that matter.

Just my 2cents..

I have bought some jewerly from them as well and the quality was very good

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Another vote for QVC Eternagold. They have a lifetime warranty, as well.

I have bought a few pairs of 14k(and i think one pair of 18k) hoops-they are lightweight(one pair looks huge but is hollow which i love and are comfortable wear)and have bought for daughter and sister and best friend as gifts. i''d say give it a go( ps, i did not like eterna gold and returned it...) the price is ofte right at qvc

I've purchased several things over the years and they have been hit and miss. Definetly check the reviews for the item you're considering, like Sizzle said. And if you don't like it, QVC takes everything back.

Not only do they have a good return policy, the guarantees are pretty good too. I had some epiphany shared prong hoops and after a year of wear, one of the prongs loosened and a stone fell out. I contacted them and they said to send them back and they sent me a new pair for free. Pretty great customer service on a $40 pair of "costume" earrings.

QVC can be a great value. Their return policy is fantastic. The only thing I''ve encountered is that a lot of their gold is hollow tubing...which is fine if that''s what you want, but you definitely get what you pay for (ie. the solid stuff is more expensive). I''ve never had a problem returning anything.
