Is the ''beauty shot'' of jewelry standard at BGD and Whiteflash?

Just curious...everyone posts such gorgeous pictures from Whiteflash and BGD. Do they do that for every item purchased, only custom or only if it''s requested? I ordered a pair of studs from BGD yesterday and the waiting is killing me!

I bought some diamond studs from BGD and didn''t get any glamour shots. The reason for this is because Brian was away the day they were ready to ship and I was in a hurry to get them!

When I bought rings from Whiteflash I always got the photos. I got a video from Wink Jones which was even more exciting!

Gotcha! I know he was out of the country yesterday so I''m thinking I won''t be getting pictures...oh well. Thanks for the reply!

They sent me pictures of both my pendant and earrings. Neither were custom - both were set in four-prong basket settings.

Phew, I thought I didn''t save the photos. Here''s what they sent me for my earrings

I ordered them for my anniversary, found the diamonds online and they were set and mailed so I got them four or five days later.

Those are beautiful MC! I love the little heart in the middle of the one on the left, even if it is just a trick of the light.

When my husband ordered the studs he requested yellow gold settings. They took a few days to come in. If I had gone with White gold they would have been in stock and set quicker and Brian would have been there to take photos. The timing was all wrong! I would have loved the glamour shots so I would get a good look at the diamonds!

I think you might have missed the photos if you got them shipped while Brian was away!

Oh, how cute. I didn''t even notice the heart.

Thanks for the compliment.

That''s what I''m afraid of, dreamer. Lesley did say she''d have to make sure the setting was in stock but that I should have them by the weekend or Monday at the latest. My official day to take my surgical steel piercing hoops out is next Wednesday, but unofficially it''s whatever day the earrings arrive!

Ooh boy, so excited! I just got an email from Lesley to say that she''ll email me my pictures tomorrow and I''ll get my earrings on Friday! It''s so silly, but I really do want those gorgeous pictures.

I went the ''more bang for your buck'' route and got an I and a J, both SI2, both ACA, .93ctw set in platinum 4 prong baskets...for less than the equivalent color/clarity/size at overstock (theirs are H/I, SI1/SI2 rated by IGL). My original budget had been $2500 but I just never felt good about it, and the thought of actually buying the earrings made me nervous instead of excited. Then I saw these stones over the weekend and realized I could get the size I wanted for $1500 and all my nervousness and hesitation went away. For how we live and where we live, $1500 is extravagant but $2500 is just over the top.

Now to wait till the email comes!

Can''t wait to see your studs!
