Is this a fisheye or nailhead? Diagnose my diamond

I'm confused by your posts: I got that your ring was by Satour and it was sold as a lab diamond...my apologies if I got something wrong!

No problem! I’m actually not sure. All I know is the band says sateur but he was dealing with jewelers and sateur sells to consumers also, so it’s confusing if it’s actually a lab diamond or not. I got one of those 10X loupes and I’m pretty sure it’s a real diamond but I can’t see an inscription

I don’t think how it looks like in your pictures
is like a nailhead nor a fisheye.

In tandem to the facet pattern not looking like an ‘ideal’ - I think it’s looking like a different to diamond’s RI performs in a brilliant cut.

Can you clarify what RI means? This is the same stone if it clears up anything 20230602_105713_Original.jpeg

RI = refractive index

Refractive index.

if you take three different colorless gems with different RI and facet them the exact same size and facet pattern / proportions

They will be noticeably different in how they perform/look.

I don’t ‘know’ anything nor guessing what your stone might be.

Just answering to the nailhead /fisheye question and adding a side comment about how I think the pictures you’ve provided of the effect you are questioning - looks like a RI based symptom to my novice brain.

From the pictures no firm conclusions can be made.
Without a processional viewing the stone in person nothing is going to be answered.

Take it to a mall jeweler - they generally have diamond testing equipment. Might be a fast way to get an answer as to whether it is diamond or not.
