Hello everyone
The engagement ring and diamond was chosen without fuss, I got the first wedding dress I tried on (it was PERFECT) and so far everything else is going according to plan....except for one thing....
The dang wedding bands!!!!
Some of you may remember my previous post on this subject, about doing the matching thing. Both Bryan and I like the idea of it. The problem? I like so many different styles but want something with bling. Bryan wants a specific celtic design, which I love (the ring and celtic stuff in general!). So I think we've finally figured it out but it's kind of an odd decision....and I'd like to know what you guys think.
I've fallen madly in love with marquise diamonds set east/west. I'm especially in absolute AWE of MAchicks ring: Click here! Scroll down to see the finished product.
I was going to get something similar for a RHR down the road, but I just figured out today that I don't really have to wait for that!
So here is the plan....Bryan gets his celtic ring (attachment below) in platinum, and I get something similar to MAchicks ring (but different, you know what I mean!), except with the matching celtic design and of course in my own design.
What do you guys think of this? I was going to move my engagement ring over to my right hand anyway, as I cannot fit a wedding band in with it (see my pictures to understand why!), and I just love the idea of having yet another diamond on my hands.
So if I were to do the celtic design on the top and bottom of MY band, I was thinking of getting more bling put in around it on the outside....and I was also thinking I might want to do baguettes (I have a thing for them). I'm wondering if this would be too much? Probably not as MAchick has round ones in hers and it looks fabulous! Would baguettes make the ring too thick in width?
What do you all think?
Who would be good to custom design something like this? Would it be best to go with Greenlake like MAchick did (as I certainly love their work on hers....)
Thanks in advance
Cat
Below are two rings. The main ring would look like the one with the black background, and even though we both love the design on it, we kinda wanted something interlocking like the other one with the white background....little figure 8s....
