I just found a great diamond online that is the price, size, and overall quality I''m looking for. I have doubts about it though because it was really cheap compared to other rocks of similar quality and size. Here are the specifics:
Lab: EGL
shape: round brilliant
measurements: 6.72 - 6.69 x 4.10 mm
weight: 1.14 cts
total depth: 61.1%
talbe width: 61%
crown height: 13%
pavilion depth: 45%
girdle thickness: medium, faceted
polish and sym: very good
culet: none
clarity: VS2
color: H
fluorescence: none
This was listed for just shy of $4000. EGL doesn''t list the crown and pavilion angles so I can''t plug this into the HCA cut advisor tool to see about the brilliance, fire, etc. Is there any way I can tell if this is a good cut, or should I just get the rock, take it to an appraiser, and send it back if it doesn''t make the grade?
Thanks for the help and the advice.
