Hello! I have attached a picture of a diamond grading report and a ring please help me if this is a good diamond and what would be a good offer to make on it?

Thanks soo much in advance :snore: image_138.jpgimage_218.jpg

It's an EGL certificate, so the diamond should sell at a huge discount to a GIA stone with the same certificate. If it was truly GIA H you should not be able to notice any yellow in the stone whatsoever and I can see yellow in this picture. It is probably comparable to a GIA I-J color, SI-1 SI-2 clarity stone. You can check prices of those stones on the internet to compare. Ask the jeweler if they will get it GIA certified, or if they will show you GIA stones.

so even after our advice you're still going to buy it? If size is all that matters to you we can find you something a lot better than that! I'm confused because your last post in your other thread you said that you just wanted our advice and weren't going to get it. Just wondering what's changed?

Depth of 55%, table of 61% ??? having trouble reading the report but if that is correct its to shallow.

Its misleading to call it a discount. Diamonds are a big business. If this stone was good enough return a good gia report, they would have sent it to get it certed gia. They send the stone to the Lab that will gade it most favorably to return get the most money. A gia cert is worth more money, unless the cert comes back k-I2 good ct. A egl cert is worth less unless for the same stone it grads it h,si1 v good.... So someone who isnt familiar with this tactic perceives a diel because that score ia cheaper than gia stones of the same grade, but its an illusion. Just know, cutters arent atupid, they send their stones to get a cert that will return the most money
