Hello! I have attached a picture of a diamond grading report and a ring please help me if this is a good diamond and what would be a good offer to make on it?

Thanks soo much in advance :snore: image_138.jpgimage_218.jpg

I'm pretty forgiving when it comes to unorthodox combos, but I would no doubt pass this one over. Under 58% is a red flag; you run into problems with darkness, fisheyes, and chipping.

So then skip the thought of getting this ring? It seemed like a good deal.

Darkness, fisheye, or chip risk, this diamond will have at least one of them. If I read it right and it is 10% crown height, HCA gives it a DO NOT BUY warning because of the chip risk.

Poorly cut diamonds are cheaper than better cut ones, but they are not deals.

It was probably a good deal because of the crown %. If you don't mind having to replace it after it chips and having to go through insurance, then go ahead. I like the table size and the depth, but I would not get something that would self destruct in a matter of years if not sooner. Did you already buy this? Do they have a return policy? Are you open to other options? What's your budget and criteria for the diamond?

HA! Thanks DF, I had that switched. Seeing a bit blury right now. Based on that, THROW THE WHOLE THING OUT ASAP! If the fact that you got a "deal" is your only priority, then it's up to you to keep it, but if you want a good stone, get rid of that and we'll find you something WAY better! PS - if you're going to look at EGL stones, I suggest only looking at EGL USA and don't get anything that doesn't have "excellent" in the cut grade.

Ok no worries I didn't purchase it or anything I was just browsing and wanted to ask someone with diamond knowledge
