welcome!!

i was wondering why you chose vvs1? I have a vs1 and I cant even find inclusions with a loupe. You can go as far as VS2 without ever finding an inclusion easily. Many here have SI1 and SI2 and they are eye-clean.

I'm new at this diamond choosing thing. My girlfriend is "petite". Her rings are usually 4 or 4.5. We live in Mexico, and walking arround with a big stone isn't the greatest idea, so I was looking for something arround .5 - .7 that would look marvelous on her
(she prefers "round ideal cut" diamonds) and I was hoping to get a wonderful stone for her. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

Thanks for the reply!

Hola Pato

I just posted the link to WF. It is an SI2 but some SI2 are so very eye clean. I got one from WF and you cannot see not 1 inclusion. You can have them pull any stone for you and give you their expert opinion.

The most important thing I learned on here was that the actual cut of the stone is so very important. You don''t have to get the VVS or even the VS to be a great stone. You can get an amazingly cut stone with an SI stone. I saved a lot on my budget that way and added the extra money to my setting. Just a thought.

Good Luck

I think if someone wants to get high color and high clarity, there is nothing wrong with that.

Julien there isn''t anything wrong with high color or clarity and we aren''t saying that there it. I was just pointing out to Pato (since he is new to this whole search) that a great ring can also be with other stats. I was pointing out his options.

And I appreciate all of the comments received. One thing that I think my GF will love is a "white" diamond that has "good reflection" (fire or sparkle, I don't know how to call it).

I'm not in a hurry, and since I'm planning on going to Texas on June, I was considering dropping by to WF's offices, but Since it is only a couple of months away, I wanted to get "soaked in" with the terms, prices, etc.
