Hi everyone!
I was given a price quote for my setting to have .32 carat weight of pave diamonds. I approved the quote and the total carat weight. Now that we are in the final stages of designing the setting, I've figured out that my setting will have 14 diamonds at 0.02 each for a total of .28 carat weight (14 x 0.02).
I told my jeweler that we are not using up all the carat weight that I was quoted for (.32 vs .2
and so could I please add two more diamonds to get it up to the original .32? The jeweler told me that no, my setting has 14 diamonds x 0.02 for a total of 0.297 total carat weight. Now, I may not be a math whiz, but I know that 14 x 0.02 is not 0.297.
Does that make sense to you? Thanks in advance.
