I think so. It's a 1.8 on the HCA and it looks pretty good.

Here is another picture.

Yup, it's a keeper.
Or, at least, it's definitely a HaveShippedOutAndSeeWhatYouThinkInPerson-er ::)

Disclaimer: As a newbie my opinion probably doesn't count for much around here...

Anyway as with the others I think it looks really good (HCA of 1.8 is great), just thought I'd throw in some points which might help. May I ask if the report is graded by GIA or AGS? I have read that for the best brilliance possible, you usually want to go for a GIA excellent or an AGS ideal is all.

Also as a VS2 it should almost definitely be fine, however its always good to double check whether the inclusions are eye clean and present no structural risks with the vendor (if they are trustworthy like WF / GOG / JA etc)

Finally if you want to tick the perfectionist box you can ask to see the view from the bottom to check for the hearts. Looks like that rock is already getting good light return which is the main thing; the hearts can just be a bonus for perfect symmetry.

It is a GIA stone. After thinking about this all day, I am probably going to order this stone. There will be a small restocking fee should I return the stone but for a large purchase like this, I think I can live with it should something not be up to par. Those are the only two images they are able to provide. They said the stone was eye clean and looked very good.

I think the only thing holding me back is if I want to up my budget a little bit and get something a little bigger. I originally wanted to hit the 1.5ct range, but I will be putting this stone in a halo setting which will make it appear a little larger. :? I can't decide!!!

I wouldn't increase budget if you are going with a halo.

So you think I should just stick with the 1.2ct w/ the halo setting? Her ring size, to my best knowledge is a 6.5.

How is the polish the diamond? There seems to be surface graining but that may be the picture. Other than that, it looks like a very nice SI1.

I agree, based on the AGS report it definitely looks like it's worth a IRL look!

The polish and symmetry are both excellent. There is also no fluorescence. It sounds like I may be ordering a diamond tomorrow morning... :shock:

Looks very beautiful! I think you are making the right decision!
