Thanks! I am having a hard time here, because I agree that some of these JA stones - particularly this one - http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/I-SI1-Excellent-Cut-Round-Diamond-1535924.asp - give the WF stone a run for its money, and are cheaper, besides.

Question for all of the experts out there - when I look at the images, the JA one looks somehow more clear than the WF one- is that representative of something different about the stone, or is that a photography issue?

My problem continues to be that I think JA stones are better-priced, but I like one of the WF settings (butterflies) for my three stone, and so I am trying to work with WF to purchase one of their in-house stones (so that I can benefit from their upgrade policy). But I am of course trying to get the best stone for the best price. Help!

I love that stone!!! IF YOU'RE EVEN JUST THINKING ABOUT IT THOUGH PUT IT ON HOLD! Doesn't require you to put anything down just your name. As far as your concern, JA also has a lifetime policy for 100% credit of the stone you've purchased. I think it's a great policy and a beyond gorgeous stone!!! As far as WF, they'd be happy if you just get a setting from them! and that's a gorgeous setting! You can send the setting to JA or vice versa.
