About a year ago, I switched over all my jewelry to yellow gold. I'm not much of a person for mixing metals on my body.
Yesterday was my birthday and my husband was so excited to give me my birthday gift. He said he was finally able to give me something he'd always wanted to. When I opened it, it was a white gold tennis bracelet. The first thing he said was, "is it OK that it's white gold? I couldn't get yellow gold at the time." What he meant by that was last minute because he tends to buy things last minute. And that's ok... it's who he is, and this gift was incredibly thoughtful. But. I don't know if the white gold looks fine in my stack because it's all diamonds or if I should exchange it for yellow gold. I was hoping for other people's opinions of what they think of a white gold tennis bracelet in an otherwise all yellow gold jewelry set. I just don't know if it looks tacky or less congruent with it being white gold. Or maybe by the time the rhodium wears off I won't even notice anymore. In all honesty, i'm slightly uncomfortable with the thought of exchanging it because he gave me the white gold but if I went into store to buy it, I feel like I would've chosen yellow. Now I don't know what to do. If anyone here has been in the same predicament, I'd sure love to hear your perspective. Or any advice or opinions really.
