It's finally happened to me -- Lost in the mail

Since I mail about 200 things a month I've seen alllllll sorts of insanity via USPS. Frequently a letter being returned to us, even if it's mailed to another person in the same zip, takes weeks to return. Not always, mind you. But sometimes. I wouldn't be surprised if your package makes it's way back to you. Eventually. Things I've had come back to me from overseas? Many, many moons. Once over a year! It's remarkable, the variable time it takes them to haul something back.

Still, I'd probably go to your local office and start making a claim if you can.

One month.

That's how long it took to find it's way back to me. Thank goodness it is back!! I forgot to put the suite number on the address label, and apparently the PO cannot look at the directory on the building and see which name matches the address label. Civil servants? Is that an oxymoron?
