My wonderful FI proposed last night!!! For the LIWs who were wondering how long he had the ring, it was a full week and that''s it (thank god!)
We went to this great Indian restaurant that we both love, to celebrate his birthday. It was a Sunday, and about 8PM so it wasn''t crowded at all. We got this great little corner table and had some awesome food. He ordered desert, which we never really do (usually too full to fit it in) and I figured hey why not, it''s his birthday he should order desert, of course - didn''t think anything of it, that it was out of the ordinary - but found out later that really he was just stalling trying to work up his nerve!
After we were done eating they brought those warm towel thingys to our table and we used them. Then he reached into his coat pocket and brought out a napkin from home. I thought it was strange but figured he just wanted to dry his hands from the moist towelette or something.
So I''m looking around the restaurant, enjoying the scenery (it''s a really cute place) and next thing I know he''s down on one knee with the ring in hand! It was really sweet, and just an amazing moment.
Just thought I''d share my story, especially since there''s another thread asking how long our guys held onto the ring from the time they got it to the time they proposed. Mine held out on me a week, FYI.
I''ll probably post pics in SMTR once I get some. Didn''t take any last night cause it was late by the time we got home (and I got off the phone with my mom!) and I couldn''t swing it before work this morning.
Just want to say that you guys are awesome and even though I didn''t put my name on the LIW list I''ve been lurking around the forums for a while now, and it''s been fun - and a sanity saver! Thank you!
