This morning I had one of those moments where you''re just struck by how much you love the person you''re with. I was looking for my cell phone and found it--connected to the charger, where bf had put it last night before we went to bed. I know it sounds silly, but I love that he does little things like make sure my phone is charged for me without even thinking about it.

He''s not one for grand romantic gestures all the time, but I''d rather have all the little things he does on a daily basis anyhow. I''m just thrilled that I''ve found someone so wonderful (and I told him so, too!)

What little thing has your bf done recently that just made you swoon?

Lol, he let me stay in bed for an extra 5 minutes this morning before I gave him a ride to work. And being that he gets up before I do, he always makes sure to cover me up when he gets up or comes back into our room for the moment.

He set a reminder in my phone so that every Friday if goes off... I always forget about it and then every Friday there''s this message from him and it feels fresh every time

We went shopping because he needed a new pair of khaki shorts and sporty summer sandals. I helped him find the perfect items and he said, now let''s find something for you. I pulled his arm and started walking to the counter saying, "I don''t need anything." But he broke my grip and started walking about the store holding up different things. Me responding "I''m serious, don''t buy me anything" "I don''t wear pink" "You don''t know what size I wear anyway" "C''mon let''s go I don''t want anything"

Then he picked up this hideous razor tank that a triathlete would wear and started walking to the counter. I said laughing "Don''t you dare buy me that" and he replied well then pick something. So I showed him where the lady''s golf balls were and he bought two boxes saying "You deserve presents, too."

Brace yourselves ladies...

He actually picked up his dirty clothes this morning off the floor...

:)

He gets my bag ready for me every morning, although I think its partly due to me faffing in the morning so he can hurry me out the door!!

But is appreciate it none the less

WOW Lauren...our boys sound so similar. haha I wonder what runs through his mind about how all the crap he leaves behind magically gets put away and cleaned.. . I wonder if he thinks some magical cleaning fairy comes in for a nightly visit and picks up his crap he leaves behind and cleans his nasty dirty laundry?!!? haha

Awwww! He makes me lunch and puts cute notes inside. Even washes raspberries and puts them in the fridge for me to find because I love them so much. Sticks vitamins in my briefcase! LOL. He even makes me steel cut oatmeal even though it takes 20 minutes while I snooze. And he scrubs the pot! LOL. But he does force me to work out with him, which I now love him for. LOL. But the clincher is -- HE CALLS MY MOM to say hi because he knows she's lonely.

Haha, Seriously HOH! It''s a sad day in romance when I''m swooning over chores! :)

But in all fairness, credit must be given where credit is due.

My BF just does little things all day long that make me happy. He always knows when I need to hear "I love you" and he will literally do anything for me. He may not be the most romantic guy in the world, but he''s always there for me when I need him.

Yeah -- that''s what truly matters... If he is truly there for you when it counts.

Heck, my guy isn''t perfect either. He likes to leave his socks on the floor. I figure it''s a small price to pay for the mountain of infinite goodness inside.

I like that!

I was just reading this and thinking, " I can''t think of anything!!" Then my boyfriend walked in from work with a tub of icecream, a bottle of chocolate sauce and a tub of sprinkles, all my faves!! He''d also bought me a big bar of my fave chocolate!! Awww :-) I love him so much! Nearly as much as I love the chocolate! Hee hee!

Lauren I totally agree again my boy isn''t great at being romantic, or expressing his feelings. BUt, he always knows when to make me laugh and comfort me. He always says sweet little things to me.

It reminds me of a candy bar -- ooey gooey goodness inside. LOL.

I think it''s because I read chocolate fudge''s post. THAT IS SO SWEET!

Once, when I was on a diet -- we ordered dessert and FI started wolfing it down alarmingly. I was like, "Why are you wolfing it down like that?" Turns out, he wanted to eat more so that I would eat less because I was trying to be so good. LOL. So weird and funny but true. Finally, I have found someone sillier than I am!

He does a lot of little things as well. About two nights ago I was complaining how I always have a sandwich for lunch and its probably cheaper to just make it myself but I never have time in the morning.

So the next morning, I get ready for work and as I''m about to head out my door I look in my purse and he had packed me a sandwich and some chips in a zip-lock bag. I thought that was really sweet.

Every morning my guy leaves for work before I do he gets up and gets gets ready in the dark and then comes to the bed to say good bye and give me a kiss.

As if that wasn''t cute enough as soon as he''s out of the bed my pup jumps up in his place and sometimes when he comes to say good bye she nips at him and he always smiles and kisses her too.

He emails me a reminder to pay my rent every month because I have a tendency of forgetting.
He cooks me dinner and makes my lunch all the time.
And, every now and then he''ll text me something sweet or I''ll have a letter from him show up in my mailbox that''s a love poem or something sweet.
9.gif

SO told me he sent me something last week, so like a little kid waiting for X-mas, I ran to the mailbox everyday, and my eyes got as big as saucers everytime I saw the UPS guy...

Well, on Wednesday, it got here! It was a chin-up bar that had been on my amazon wishlist for a year!

Totally out of the blue, and for no reason at all. Ironically, I had been talking to my sister about buying it for the past two weeks!

It''s not diamonds, but it''s priceless!

I just thought of something else...

The other day I dropped him off at work and he was in a hurry so we didn''t say i love you to each other-he just rushed out of the car.

So I got home (it''s a 5 minute drive) and I sent him a text... "I love you."

Right away I got one back, "I love you too!"

And that little exclamation point meant so much too me because when he text messages, he doesn''t use punctuation at all, and it was an exclamation point to boot.

Ok. I''m done. Maybe.

Awww I love those little everyday things! I''m really not a romantic myself and neither is my BF, so it''s those little ordinary things that makes me appreciate him and our relationship.

My absolute favorite seems so ordinary yet it always makes me smile thinking about it. Every winter we go snowboarding with our friends, and whenever everyone''s getting all geared up he always helps me with everything, like putting my gloves on (I literally just stick my arms straight out and he puts them on) or tying my boots. He kind of fusses over me, zipping me up, making sure everything is on tight enough, etc before he gets ready himself. I just love that for some reason

i''m a med student, and a sleepy one at that. he calls me every morning at the same time (when his alarm goes off) to wish me a happy morning and make sure i don''t sleep through an exam! when we were first dating, we would meet every morning on the bridge in the hospital to exchange coffee drinks and just see eachother for ten minutes before getting our days going. he recently graduated and i no longer have a steady schedule of lectures, so the bridge has been replaced with the calls. i think he is the reason i love mornings now!

BF just left after a 4 day visit, so I''m full of warm and fuzzies.

BF was sick one of the days I was here, and he stayed in bed while I got ready for work. I went in to get my shoes and was trying to be quiet so he could stay asleep, and he opened one eye, smiled, and said, "Oh good, I thought you''d forgotten my goodbye kiss." I gave him a kiss, and he had the most adorable smile as he snuggled back into bed. I love that he woke up worrying about not getting a goodbye kiss.

While he was visiting I had to work every day, so he would make me breakfast and lunch while I was getting ready, and one day made me a peanut butter sandwich and cut it into triangles.

This is kind of a funny one, perhaps more unique to LDRs, but I think it's really cute when he calls me all tipsy. Because we simply can't be together every weekend (yet... soon!). It makes me feel a little less out of the loop that way.

He's away for his friend's bachelor party and we just got off the phone. Poor thing had too much to drink, went back to the resort where they are all staying and talked to me for awhile. I felt bad, but it was kind of funny because he was being so adorable. I hope he's feeling ok tomorrow. They have to go golfing first thing!

He washes the dishes.. I HATE washing dishes :) I''d rather do all of the cooking..

I once had my period, was gassy, and felt horrible. We had to go on a semi road trip to a brewery tour with friends. Before leaving, I asked him to get me some meds and "something chocolate". He comes back from the store with Pamprin, Midol, Pepto, a chocolate donut, chocolate milk, and chocolate candies... I mean.. seriously? HOW CUTE ;) I gave the donut away though :)

The other day I asked him to bring my car in for an oil change (hate doing it myself) I give him the cash, and he comes back and says he also filled up my tank (3/4ths a tank)... I thought it was so thoughtful of him!

Oh, and he ALWAYS sends me a text or calls when he leaves my place to go home. He likes to tell me that he got home safe... because I worry about everything!
And... I''m madly in love with him. Have I mentioned that?? He does things for me every day. I could write these things every day!!

He always always kisses me goodbye when he leaves for work early early in the morning.

The other day he forgot to reset the alarm for me and he panicked and called me to wake me up---when I didn''t answer the phone he enlisted the help of another co-worker/FMOH to call me endlessly. Little did he know I was already awake and in the shower!

I have a problem with the toothpaste--for some reason I get it all over the tip of the toothpaste--I just can''t be neat about it. He sometimes will put it on the toothbrush for me and he''ll clean the tip/lid off also. Makes me swoon every time!
9.gif

He tells me I am beautiful at least 10 times a day and means it :), if that doesn't make a girl feel good I don't know what would :).

There are other things as well but atm none come to mind

ETA: When I tell him details for BM dresses, ideas for venues and flowergirl dresses he listens :) considering no one knows we plan on getting engaged I need an outlet LOL. I asked him tonight if he thought it was weird me thinking about this stuff and he was like no I think it wonderful that your excited to want to spend the rest of your life with me, he got a huge hug for that.

Every morning my guy leaves for work before I do he gets up and gets gets ready in the dark and then comes to the bed to say good bye and give me a kiss.

My guy does that too. :) He wakes up at 5am for work everyday and turns the alarm off asap so that it doesn''t wake me, and then he''s always super quiet getting ready and always comes to kiss me good morning and tell me he loves me before he heads out.

He also always sends me sweet little text messages throughout the day when we''re both at work to let me know that he loves me and can''t wait to see me at the end of the day.

He''s just a sweet guy all around and everyday I have those moments where it just hits me how in love with him I am and how lucky I am to be with him.

Sweet DH trekked down to our garden this morning (this required boots/raincoat/hat/dogs etc) to pick for my breakfast the FIRST strawberries of the season.

What a wonderful thoughtful man....and after 25+ years together, that''s pretty good!

I always complain to my boyfriend about how he isn''t romantic enough... But then when I think back of all the things he does, I realize he does do little romantic things.

LIKE: Last week, I was sick with the flu, really bad. I live at home during the summer because I am in college, so not even my mom would go near me. BUT mark took care of me and on the third day I was sick he brought me a bouquet of wild flowers. He rubbed my hair and brought me water and popsicles and medicine.

The other thing he does to me is tuck me in every night... he waits till I fall asleep and then goes home. He also surprises me at school a lot because last year he stayed home while I went away and he would drive up every once and a while. He is so sweet.

We're still (but not for much longer!) in a long-distance relationship, and when I went up to visit him a couple of weeks ago, he had made me this fabulous cream & jam cake (first cake he's ever baked). He originally wanted to make me a coffee cake (with coffee in it) or a chocolate cake, but I'm currently on a restricted diet and can't have either coffee or chocolate--I'd said, "You know, honey, if you really want to try out the coffee cake, it's fine, I'll just have a little, make what you like" (he LOVES coffee-flavoured sweets). He replied with, "This is YOUR cake, I'm not going to make something that could make you sick! No coffee or chocolate, I will make those when you are better." So he made the cream & jam cake and it was divine.

I also love it when we're talking about our future life in London. I just got a job teaching music in a special needs school and was first afraid it would be too big of a transition for him (his parents keep him very sheltered and his whole family has stayed in the same town their whole lives), but he says he wants to be with me and thinks it will be good for him. So, I love it when he's telling me about how nice it will be to live on the outskirts of the city, when we can go into the center of London when we feel like it, or just as easily escape from city life going the opposite direction into the countryside (which we both prefer). Plus he tells me that, if I don't want to settle in the UK permanently, that he will be happy to move to the US. He says he will live anywhere in the world, as long as he's with me. He usually tags on "even France" when saying so too.
