I''m having a shoe dilemma.

My dress is light ivory. My BMs are wearing light blue dresses with silver shoes. I originally wanted to wear light blue shoes, but just couldn''t find any I was happy with, so I thought I would go with silver since that''s what the other girls are wearing.

But... now I''m concerned. Does ivory go with silver??

Here are the shoes I bought:
silver peep-toe pumps

They''re really comfy and I like the way they look on my feet, but what do you think... should I continue my search for blue? I''d rather not go with ivory, because I''d like to wear them again. I need your opinions, please!

Silver looked funny with my ivory dress, so I went with gold--but I''m SURE it greatly depends on the shade and fabric type.

Have you tried them with your dress?

My dress is a light ivory as well and I''m wearing silver shoes. I think they look fine. I wear my silver/platinum/WG tones jewelry with ivory all the time, and I think it looks juts fine. Gold looks great too... and so does copper etc. Ivory is a neutral, generally and should be fine with most metallics.

I think silver will look fine, but if you really want blue, you could buy a pair of white shoes and have them dyed.

I thought about getting these in white, and having them dyed, but I''ve heard horror stories about the dye bleeding. I definitely don''t want to have to deal with that at my wedding!

Ivory and silver together is a *very* tough combo to perfect. Personally, I''d either keep looking for blue or would look into the custom dying options. Good luck!

I had a hard time with finding shoes with my ivory dress too. A few silver shoes that I tried on didn''t look good, but if they were textured leather, they looked fine (but I couldn''t find any comfy ones at the height I wanted). I ended up doing pewter shoes, but I think light blue would be terrific if you could find a way to do it.

I ordered some blue shoes that are really cute and comfortable, but they're slightly more green than I was looking for... I guess this could be okay?

What do you think of these:
blue flats

I almost bought these shoes for my wedding dress too. I ended up with a pair of ''platinum'' (so said Ralph Lauren) colored strappy sandals. They are a a mix between gold and silver and I think they will be perfect.

I like the silver shoes much better than the flats. Wait and see, and really, your shoes will hardly show!

Great point. Mine are leather and not an aluminum foil or liquid looking silver. Actually the shoes look a little vintage and so does my gown, so they work together. Dyed silver and ivory would be much tougher.

And they really do hardly show, although with my style of dress they probably show more than most (my dress has a lace overlay and the underskirt is hemmed up to allow the overlay to shine at the bottom, so you can see my shoes peeking out. UCLA girls dress is an example of what I mean--my dress is hemmed the same way-- by this if you need a pictoral reference).

I was actually going to say go with gold, but I think that dress would be fine with silver, esp. with the shimmery belt.
