Jade cabochon for ring project

Hi,
Any jade experts out there?
I'd like to source a jade cabochon for a ring project. Any direction on vendors I should check with?
To date I've only purchased Burmese jade while in China. And I inherited a few pieces from my mother. I've learned a bit about jade, but I'm not totally confident in my ability to spot something enhanced.
I'm considering a custom piece that I can ultimately give to my daughter, who is from China.
