James Allen Diamond Melee

I have just received a nine-stone diamond ring from James Allen and I am very pleased with it. This is 18k Rose Gold 0.50ctw Share Prong Diamond Anniversary Ring.

They only mark their melee as F-G VS and they do not mention their cut as other vendors such as Brian Gavin and White Flash do... But I just wanted to write this so that the other customers can use it as a future reference because I saw someone asking about James Allen's diamond melee a few years back.

FYI, I got this as a right-hand ring to mark myself finishing the doctoral program. (Never again!) But I can't take photos with my left hand, so I used my left hand for the modeling purpose.

Not much in this design. I wanted to have a look of floating diamonds, so I picked the setting that has less metal visible from the top. I just got married in September and I wear the ring every single day. While I do take it off to shower and while doing anything 'heavy', I rarely take it off to sleep. I'm had no problems at all though.

I love this design ... what a beautiful ring. It looks gorgeous on you and the RG is really unique!!

I too have something very similar from GOG and have had no problems with the stones at all. Mine is a full eternity in Platinum and the melee are all ideal cut. I have to admit that I went with platinum for its durability, but I can't imagine RG giving you any problems down the road. I'd just suggest that if you ever need anything done, you either send it back to have JA work on it or you make sure your local jeweler has extensive experience with shared prong designs.

It would be interesting to know what cut JA used for your melee, I'd bet they use some of the best cut stones as well. Your ring truly is gorgeous. Feel free to post more outdoor pics, etc (you know we're ADDICTED to pics )!

ETA: Rose gold really blends into my skin tone which makes it hard to wear sometimes, but in this case, it really would make it look like it was floating.

Oh, I didn't know that the online stores are also in charge of maintenance. I don't have much experience in judging the quality of diamonds... but I hope these are good ones. It's quite chilly in Michigan but I did go out a bit just to take these photos... Are they quality melees? I have a ring from David Yurman but their diamonds are far less sparkly than these, so I am thinking that they are good... or at least better than the ones on my other ring.

Thanks!! RG blends into my skin tone also. Yeah, I think it depends on the design. For some reason, some people in Japan think that RG will not be wearable when one reaches 40 or 50 but I just don't see the point. (Maybe, I have been in the U.S. too long!) I am planning to wear this long time!
