DISCLAIMER: My husband''s grandmother lived in a trailer park and she was a very sweet old lady. Not everyone who lives in a trailer park is trashy

BUT, my husband and I joked the other night that Britney should come out with another new perfume called "Trailer Trash" and we actually think it would sell better than her other ones, LOL.

Surfgirl and Sha. I hear what you''re saying. Today there is a big difference between a 16 year old and a women in her 20''s.

My point is: why we believe it to be "wrong" is a reflection of the society we live in. In other parts of the world a teenage girl being married off and having children is not bizzare because there is no need for them to go through additional schooling to obtain a job with higher wages. And if we could think back to a time when education didn''t play such a major role in one''s life we will find that women had children much earlier than we do today.

The grandmother being left to care for the grandchild''s offspring while the grandchild goes out to party sounds like a raw deal. Obviously the lack to control they had on said grandchild still continues.

I won''t say anymore on this matter. It really doesn''t garner this much attention from me.

There was a blind item back in August about a teen star that just found out she was pregnant by someone MUCH older (someone who could be her grandfather) involved with her show. Who knows if it's true, but another rumor is floating around about a "Spring baby" for JLS.

I''m guessing what will happen is that Lynne will end up raising the baby, and Jamie Lynne will continue doing whatever she wants. I''ve also heard that Lynne is writing a parenting book, but it''s more of a memoir/warning to other show biz mothers. I''m wondering if Lynne will try to "fix" the mistakes she made with Britney and JL with JL''s baby. I''m also wondering if she really was pregnant in July, and she only announced it because she is starting to show significantly. And this rumor about the real father being significantly older, and the Spears'' family paying Casey to pretend he''s the father is kind of scary.

I think they are pretty poor parents. I think also judgment gets clouded when your children earn buckets of money and you are not willing to actually continue parenting them.

It is statutory rape if he is over 17 and she is under, which she is. If they were both underage, then as long as there is a set year span that is not exceeded, I am not sure what can be done legally. But from what I recall, over 17 and under is just a no no even with consent. Another child being brought in to the world with a mother who cannot likely handle it, though who knows, she might be a better mom than her big sis.

Mom''s parenting book has been pulled and likely Zoe 101 will have issues since she is clearly not a sweet innocent kid anymore. Stupid all around. Use birth control if you must have sex. I am not shocked by any of this, Britney is a total train wreck. The mom must be so proud right about now.

According to this website which appears to be written by a couple of attorneys for Connecticut. It''s from 2003, but I doubt that anything will have changed since then.

In Louisiana:
"Felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile is sexual intercourse with consent between (1) someone age 19 or older and someone between age 12 and 17 or (2) someone age 17 or older and someone between age 12 and 15.

Misdemeanor carnal knowledge of a juvenile is sexual intercourse with consent between someone age 17 to 19 and someone age 15 to 17 when the difference in their ages is greater than two years. "


And in California:
"Anyone who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under age 18 and the actor is not more than three years older or three years younger, is guilty of a misdemeanor

Anyone who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a person under age 18 who is more than three years younger than the actor is guilty of either a misdemeanor or a felony

Any person 21 years of age or older who engages in an act of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor who is under 16 years of age is guilty of either a misdemeanor or a felony. "


So if anyone charges Casey with anything, it''ll be a misdemeanor. However, I highly doubt that anyone will be charged with anything in this case.
