You could always buy one from a US seller, and have someone from forward it to you. If you happen to know anyone in the states. I think they have services for that, too.
Hey MP - no one at all in the US - well, one friend staying in NY, but she''s not the kinda friend you rely on for this sorta thing, lol...
thankyou for the idea though...If you know the names of any of these services, I''d love to know

Hey aj, I found a place that has international shipping, and a pretty big selection. Prices vary a bit, but there are definitely some affordable ones in there. Maybe you can find one here.

As for the anti-tarnish, I bought a box from QVC with that in my liner. It really worked pretty well. Our air is horrid, and my sterling can begin tarnishing practically overnight, so I was pleased with it. Not sure if they're all created equal though.

Hope this helps!

Thankyou Ellen! There seem to be some good ones there at a glance, thankyou!
Also cheers for your experience with the QVC.

You are most welcome my dear!

He he, they actually have the same 2 boxes I was considering at JBD, however about 30-$40 more expensive...hmmm, wonder if they will price-match..
Or maybe there''s a good reason why the first company had them so cheap, lol !

lol!

I dunno, I know pics can be deceiving, but I didn''t think they looked that cheaply made. You could ask about the price matching.

AJ, sorry to just now be getting back to this thread.

I *think* the tarnish stuff works pretty well. I hadn''t noticed, to tell you the truth but now that I think about it my silver pieces have been in pretty good shape.

Also, mine has ring slots instead of a roll. What I love the most though, is the hanging part for the necklaces. No more tangles!

Hope you find what you are looking for soon!

I wanted to update and let ppl know I did get my refund from Jewelry Box Direct today, after another couple emails over this week asking for the status. Its a relief, as I was just about to start the process of disputing the charge, which would''ve been a hassle.
All things considered, the refund was pretty quick.

Still, I never got one reply or explanation for their behaviour, I know its not a big deal in the scheme of things but it was a pain in the b*tt.

I hope this thread will be seen by those considering this shop in the future - I don''t know, perhaps they can handle US orders easier - but Marie, the SA I dealt with who is also in charge of shipping, just seemed a bit reactional and, well....odd.
All she ever said in way of an explanation is that basically I should''ve trusted her - even though she didn''t meet any of her promises to me

I would also like ppl to know they have been made aware of my post here and given an oppurtunity to address it, but I imagine that email was just ignored like the rest of them, lol..

All in all, pretty much just a waste of time !

Thankyou everyone for your comments and suggestions , I really apprteciate them - I am looking around more locally before deciding to buy O/S again...I will post again if I find something nice to buy !

I found a website which claims to provide the "ultimate" jewellery organization solution. You can find them at www.cleverestjewelbox.co.uk

They haven''t launched yet but will do so in the new year. They have given an option to register for notification of their launch. I think its worth checking them out.

I am curious to see their solution as I am desperate for an efficient solution and theirs sound promising.
