Jewelry designer Noam Carver

I've been looking at settings for a little while now and have explored the more well known Tacori, Simon G, Claude Thibaudeau, Verragio, Scott K etc. I found a setting I really like by Noam Carver. I've been told he's a new designer, but I'm not familiar with the name. Does anyone have a setting in his line? Can anyone speak to the quality of his products?

I am actually in the process of buying a Noam Carver ring right now. To be honest I haven't spent a lot of time reading about what can constitute a good quality vs poor quality ring, but at the jeweler they seemed to be impressed with the quality and building methods/materials. I believe they said it's a relatively new line but has recently won some awards for the designs. Other than that I can't say much.

I do know that Noam Carver is the engagement line from Crown Ring, so maybe Crown Ring testimonials could speak to the quality of Noam Carver as well.

I'd like to know the opinions of Price Scope as well.

I went back to the jeweller today and asked a couple of questions. Noam Carver is a Canadian designer based out of Montreal, Quebec. He's won several awards and apparently is highly regarded. I haven't made a decision yet about settings, but he's definitely on my short list.

No problem. I talked to the jeweler a little more and am told that each setting will be made for the diamond size/shape. Noam Carver will create a new mold/wax for a diamond that isn't a standard size due to carat size/diamond shape which is nice. For example the setting I'm getting is double pronged and I bought a 0.75 carat diamond vs the 1 carat on display, and I was concerned the prongs could visually overpower the diamond a little, but the prongs can be brought down from 1.0mm each to 0.8mm each. If you do go with Noam Carver, it seems that they will be flexible and try to work through any concerns you have.

I have a couple of pictures of the display version of the setting I bought. It has a 1 carat cubic zirconia in it, and its model b001-01a. I quickly snapped the photos on my phone so sorry they're blurry but I figure it's better than nothing:

I really enjoyed seeing this designer's creations. Thanks for sharing! I hope he adds bands on his site someday, too. They show some matching bands with the rings in pictures. Very unique designs.
