What do you all keep when it comes to the paperwork of your fine jewelry pieces? The jewel certification, receipts, appraisals? All paperwork or only some paperwork? I don't intend to sell my pieces but I do keep the jewel certification (GIA certs, etc.)

keep it all in case you have an insurance claim.
The more paperwork the better

I want to keep but I have a bad habit of losing everything. I swear I put something away but I can never find it again. So I also only have certs. I should really be more organized...

I only have Certs too, I unfortunately threw away all of my receipts but I can probably find them if I go online with the online vendors that I purchase them through...I wonder if that would be sufficient I just really dislike collecting paper

ALL of it. Certs, Appraisals, receipts. I have the letter Yoram sent with my Vintage Asschers with his grading included in the paperwork.
I don’t plan to sell, nor do I plan to trade-in to upgrade, but for replacement and insurance purposes, I keep as much as I can, in case of theft or loss.

Ugh, I feel like an idiot for getting rid of the paper receipts but I guess I can print them from online...

The only originals I keep are GIA certificates and notarized documents. All the rest is scanned in when I get it. I lose everything that isn't glued down.

HI:

Oh, we are all guilty of throwing away receipts. @caribbeanbridetobe Don't beat yourself up over it.

While I'll get thrown under the bus for this---I DO keep receipts, appraisals, valuations, original lab reports and documents---in a big blue Tiffany Bag! :lol-2: Except for the emerald and sapphire documents...they sleep in a bleak cold grey bank vault.

cheers--Sharon
