HI Steel, I hope you don''t mind me re-igniting this thread, but I was hoping to pick your brain over your lovely pendant. Have you received it yet? I would love to see more pics!
I have a newly acquired OEC that I would like to have set in a bezel pendant, and Erica Grace are certainly on my short list.

Do you mind if I ask how does the chain attach to your pendant, or does it thread through..? Also do you have much issue with flipping?
Happy Anni again, and I hope you don''t mind all the Q''s !

The chain threads through, but it does pass right by/on the stone which would not have been my first choice. I don''t imagine the chain rubbing would cause issues but didn''t expect that.

When you turn the bezel over you can see the prongs holding the stone in from behind.

Yes it flips alot. I have not worn it for more than a few mins but it does flip like crazy. However the back is open so from a distance it sparkles anyway.

Over all I love it. I like that the bezel is slightly imperfect, I think a perfectly circular bezel would take from the age of an OMC.

Give me a week and I will have it back in my hot little hands...

Hey there Steel, thanks for the info!

So the chain actually touches the stone huh...? Hrmm. as you say, doubt this could cause an issue but not sure how much I like that, KWIM.?

So just to clarify hon, re the highlighted - it has prongs as well as the bezel?
33.gif
I always thought a bezel was just that holding the stone, no prongs. Would you mind to explain for me?

Thats a real shame that it flips so much - I was really hoping this would be "the one" - although it seems you still love yours , right?

Congratulations on your anniversary! I love their bezel necklaces.

I suppose it depends on your requirements and your expectations...

It is pitch black now but I will take a picture tomorrow for you. I hope this will explain what I mean. (I am sure the Anniversary Present Police won''t mind me taking a picture for PS purposes

Designing a pendant for a .28ct stone posed some challenges for us. We were concerned about flipping and designed the chain to run through the top 1/3 of the bezel to try and mitigate this. We considered a fixed chain, but went for a sliding chain for maximum flexibility. It is just one design that we''ve tried, but one could certainly do a bezel pendant with fixed chain, which would stop the pendant from flipping sideways. We can design just about any style pendant possible - feedback is greatly appreciated, as we can incorporate your suggestions into future designs. Here''s an example of a fixed chain bezel we just had made. The center stone is a 1 carat and is a good illustration of the scale and proportion possible when going for a very delicate look:

Erica,

The cushion pendant is beautiful! I''ve been searching PS for a cushion pendant and didn''t seem to find any!

My parents have given me a small budget for me to get something but I can''t decide on what to get. I was eyeing on the pendant that Steel bought as well. Then I considered a cushion pendant but there wasn''t any that I can reference to. Thanks for posting this!

Steel,
Happy Anniversary! It''s a very pretty pendant!

Erica that pendant is gorgeous! Love it.

I have my beautiful pendant, charged batteries and a camera cord. It is like planetary alignment!

I wanted to come back to a few issues I raised about this pendant to be sure that you understand what it was I meant. I''m sure that most of you saw the pendant online and know how much it cost but as this was an anniversary present I would prefer not to spell it out here. I have seen comparable (IMO) loose stones for much more than I paid for the stone + setting. That said, lets move on.

I mentioned the pendant flipped a lot and it does. It is because of the particulars of the setting which has a large open back through which the chain is thread. This large opening allows the chain to move from the top of the setting over the culet to the bottom of the setting. This flips the front. I can check if it has flipped by running my finger over the pendant and if it has moved it is adjusted easily.

This is not a big issue. I would encourage anybody to buy from Erica Grace, I feel very happy and comfortable with my purchase, I really love my pendant and cannot imagine a more appropriate gift from my DH to celebrate our anniversary.

I think it is important to mention that I received a wonderful e-mail from Grace making sure I was happy with the pendant and offering a solution if I was not. This is over and above. I cannot thank her enough for her kind attention and superb customer service. Having been a loyal WF customer I felt that I had received a peak in diamond purchasing. I was wrong, diamonds by erica grace have won my heart. I hope I have the opportunity to buy from them again.

This is what I meant by prongs inside the bezel.

Can you see?

I tried to get a pic of Oscar and the pendant as he spends a lot of time trying to paw it on my neck but no luck. So here he is climbing the chair. Trust me, he gives it all four paws up!
