JFF--What nicknames do you and your SO give each other?

SO started calling me Jujube, like the candy. He explained that it was because I was hard and tough and sweet at the same time. He used to say it with this horrid French accent with the silliest expression, it was pretty hysterical.

Oops, forgot his. I call him Daddy D... in college, looooong before we were dating, he was talking to me on AIM and told me to call him Daddy D Love as a joke. 8 years later, it still makes him smile

also standard names like Dear, Babe, Baby, Boo-key, an occasional Papi

But over time we''ve both sort of turned into "Bee". We only use the long names usually if we''re writing it or in a super lovey dovey mood.

My dad calls me Bebe, lol, which is in no way related to my name.

Love all the names! Sooo cute.

Well, we use the run of the mill honey and hon (we''re originally from the Baltimore area so "hon" is very common there.)

But our "private" nicknames are Blue (for him) or variations like blue-man, blue-ness, etc. Mine is Ms. J or Jones or Dr. J or Jones (since I finished my Ph.D.) The story is that he''s a chemist and about 7 years ago when we first got together he would try to explain the experiments he did in the lab. In one experiment, he was trying to get a reaction where the stuff would turn blue. So I teased him that "he was jones-ing for some blue" and somehow he became "blue" and I become "jones." After 7 years, it''s definitely here to stay. He would DIE if he knew I shared this. NO ONE knows this. We never use these in public. LOL!!!

This thread makes me laugh..

Here are some of the names I call him: lovey, grumpy grumpus (when he's in a pissy mood), bubba face, babe, honey, gorgeous face, princess (apparently I like to emasculate him.. haha)

Names he calls me: bubby, babe, gorgeous, fufu berry (long story, but it's the name of a Jone's Soda flavor), pumpkin

When we're hanging up on the phone, we go back and forth calling each other something..
For example:
Me: Bye gorgeous
FI: Bye sweetheart
Me: Bye honey
FI: Bye babe
Then usually we'll say bye after one or two names each.. We're so corny!
