John Pollard''s Wedding to be a Multi National Affair!

Ok, so I clearly overcommitted on getting pictures up last night.

I so wanted to get them done, but by the time I got home, I was just plain BEAT.

My promised travel story: As I''m walking out my door at 5:30 am Saturday to drive to the airport, my airline calls to advise they''ve canceled my connection from Philly to Dallas!

After momentary panic, I arrange to get on the next flight down, so instead of arriving at 12 as planned, I won''t get in until 2 pm. Shouldn''t be a problem since the wedding doesn''t begin until 5 pm.

Connecting flight sits on the runway for nearly an HOUR waiting to take off and then pilot announces that we''re going to have to change flight path to avoid thunderstorms, and he doesn''t think we''ll have enough fuel for the longer path, so we''re going BACK TO THE #$*#$* GATE to refuel! I''m beside myself at this point. Talked to the gate agent about possible other flights to DFW, but there aren''t any others.

We finally take off more than 90 minutes late and our expected arrival into DFW is 4 pm. Church is about 45 min. from airport and I still have to get a rental car!

I changed into my outfit in the back of the plane an hour before landing, and a kind gentleman in first class swapped seats with me during the last 10 minutes of the flight so I could be first off the plane and RUN to the rental car shuttle. Rental agency was amazing - got in/out in under 5 min. I arrived at the church just *six* minutes before 5 pm!!!

Flights home weren''t any better; first flight delayed over an hour which would have meant missing my connection and being stuck in Philly overnight, so they swapped my right before I was about to board to another flight through Washington, DC instead. Once there, they canceled an Albany flight and put the Albany passengers on my Manchester, NH flight, so now we had to stop in Albany on the way home.

We landed about two hours later than I planned, and I finally pulled into my driveway at 12:30 a.m.

Crazy, AGGRAVATING, and nearly enough to drive one to the edge......but it was all worth it. I wouldn''t have missed that day for anything.

So, I''m going to begin posting pictures and will add throughout the day as I can in between tasks.
