has anyone taken a jubilee diamond to their local jeweler to be set and the jeweler refused to set it because the cut corners were thin? The jeweler to whom I took the stone said he thought the cut corners (with the points) were too much of a risk to set, and that it was very prone to being chipped if worn everyday (like an engagement ring). This stone is a .44 vvs1. It was to be set in a tiffany style ,18k/plat.head ,4 prong setting. Need some feedback quick. The jeweler did comment on the beauty of the diamond, but did not like the cut because of the thin girdle. He did not like the points in the cut corners.-said it made it not durable to wear. Besides it beauty does anyone have any feedback on the way it is cut and its durability for wearing as a ring. thanks, marian
