June Updates?

Any updates from June brides? My 30 day mark is tomorrow..oh my God.

These past two weeks we''ve checked off our bridesmaid dress fittings and shoes (all taken care of) and all of our groomsmen were measured, so that''s a big check!

Here''s what we have left off the top of my head:
-Payments and final meetings with (minister, DJ, florist, venue)
-Music selections for DJ and ceremony musicians (tonight okay I promise)
-Pick out my bridal portrait and pay for it unless they will let me use my Mom''s and wait until July (ugh!)
-Rings engraved
-DIY projects (flower pens, guest book, table cards)
-Bridal shower
-Zomg moving into apartment..not wedding related, but I need to pack..etc!!! Ahhhhhh!!
-Need to go try my dress on one more time to make sure the straps fit
-Finish getting reply cards (they''re coming in already!)
-Give final headcounts 5 days out
-Book rental car
-Order my cleavage coolers if I am going to use them

Oh goodness. 38 days for me today. I can''t believe it''s so soon!

I haven''t wanted to make a to-do list on here because truthfully I was afraid of looking at everything I have left to do! But I guess I might as well now that I''m so close!

To-Do:

- Find shoes for me
- Go try on my veil. It was a special order and just came in!
- Find pink ties for the groomsmen
- Make sure the guys have their fittings and are ready to go
- Make sure my girls have their fitting and get their shoes!
- Flowers, which will be DIY with FMIL the day before the wedding.
- DIY menus
- DIY table cards
- Favors/Escort cards. I''m making little terracotta pots (painted off-white) and planting a flower in each. I''ll write each guests name on theirs, and then stick a little flag type thing in it with their table number. I''ve started on these, but I''m waiting to get all my reply cards back.
- Place cards
- Seating chart. So NOT looking forward to doing this.
- Vows
- Ceremony script thingy. FI''s cousin is getting ordained to do the ceremony and I need to write up a whole script for him to read. Blah.
- Confirm reservations for guests at the hotel we blocked rooms at.
- Possibly make OOT bags? I might not do these. I really want to, but with all the other things on my list, I may not have time.
- Have make-up trial. I think this is scheduled for the week before the wedding.
- Choose wine/champagne and order it from our venue.


Oh man, I can''t finish my list. It''s making me stressed!!!

I can''t believe its actually here. Although I know its coming, I don''t know if I am really going to feel it until we get to FL (where the wedding will be).

We got D''s wedding ring. I''ll post pics when we collect it in a few weeks. So thrilled to have got it. We found the BM''s shoes too so I just have to buy them and that''s another thing done.

Met with the minister today!! And we got the marriage license. Two huuuuuge checks there (need the marriage license to be married for example, lolol).

So here's what we have left:

I can''t beleive it! It doesn''t quite seem real now, though I''m sure it will hit me hard when I get to Florida on Sunday (Location for wedding). So in these final days, here is my list:

My wedding is on July 5th, which is so close to June that I''m joining this thread. I think FI and I are in good shape. I had my first fitting last weekend. Luckily my dress doesn''t need a ton of alterations. I just sent the list of music off to the DJ today and we''re putting together our ceremony this week. THe things we have left to do are:

Find and buy white hydrangeas (week of wedding)
Pay photographer
Make final payment on the venue (day of wedding)
Drop off checks at the venue for reception flowers and chairs
Put together must have picture list and choose picture locations
Put together the OOT boxes
Check on getting an upgrade at the Westin where we''re staying on the night of the wedding
Set up car service to get to/from the airport
Line up cat sitter for while we''re away on our honeymoon (leaving the morning after the wedding)
FI needs a tux
Buy travelers checks
Order FI''s ring from Etsy
Get groomsmen gifts
Do place cards
Hair trial
Buy necklace

And that''s it!!!

Just got a ton of stuff done today...bought our guest book, most of our favors, one groomsman gift, prizes for the bouquet & garter toss, and the booze. With exactly 2 weeks left, our to do list is looking like:

-put together favors
-place cards
-table numbers
-make bridesmaid necklaces
-buy 2 gifts (groomsman & friend who volunteered as our point person)
-finish manzanita branch project (we''ll be hanging crystals & photos of us at various ages from the tree)
-wash toasting flutes & cake serving set
-final payments to cake baker, DJ (due after wedding), & caterer (due day of)

And...there is also major house cleaning to do. We''ll be having 5-6 people staying with us the week of the wedding - the WHOLE week.

22 Days until my wedding! I can''t believe it''s coming so fast!

We went and got our marriage license today. I can''t believe how REAL that made it all feel! I mean, of course it''s felt real this whole time, but now the MARRIAGE part feels real, instead of just the party planning aspect.

I am so excited! I have butterflies every day! All of the patients at my work (I work in a drs office) are doing the countdown with me.

It''s so cute.

Ahhh! I just can''t believe it''s almost here!

Also, on Saturday I had my first meeting with my DOC and can I just say that I LOVE her?!? We met for almost two hours going over all of the details of the wedding. She brought up things I hadn''t even thought of! I feel like she''s so with it and on top of things. Planning a timeline for the day was stressing the heck out of me and now she''s going to be taking care of it and contacting all my vendors, etc. so I''m thrilled about it!

Guest list is pretty much set, as is the seating chart. We only have two maybes, my aunt and uncle. I just sent them an email to find out the status on whether they can come or not.

Went to the flower place with FMIL, FSIL, and FI on Tuesday and we ordered the flowers for centerpieces, bouquets, etc. FMIL was getting on my nerves a bit because she''s SUCH a control freak, but I think FI and I finally got our vision across to her. She kept trying to talk us into flowers/greenery that we didn''t like...

But I''m feeling pretty good about it. We''re going to go to her house after the rehearsal dinner to make the centerpieces, and the morning of the wedding she''s going to put the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres together.

I think the only things I have left are:
- Finish favors
- Finish place cards
- Wedding night lingerie

- Pick up dress/veil the week of the wedding
- Figure out if we''re going to have a horse drawn carriage take us from venue to hotel. I have a business card for them but haven''t called yet.. Need to do that today...
- Make final payments

Umm, I think I have a few other minor things, but mostly I feel pretty good about everything.

Oh! And our honeymoon is booked! 7 days on the island of Kauai in a condo right on the beach.

My hair trial went nicely. My hair will look pretty much like Gypsy''s (If I''m lucky!). the hair trial went really well....the curls lasted quite a while even with me sleeping on them!

Family is in town already! It''s been so great catching up with them...it''s been a few years.

All of my DIY items are done--ladies make sure you plan accordingly...some of my paper kept getting jammed so I had to go with my plan B which stressed me out at first but everything turned out great. I love my name tags and I can''t wait to show off my pictures when we get them!
