June Updates?

Well I am getting close as well..ahh!!! A little over one week, oh my.

Here's what we have left:
-Seating and place cards
-Groomsman gifts
-Family gifts?
-Need to finalize my make-up..I am having second thoughts
-List for photographer
-Music for DJ
-E-mail florist..will do this tomorrow.
-Ring bearer & flower girl gift
-Ribbon to florist
-Favors
-Pick up my dress, pick up groomsmen stuff
-Pay DJ day of

Umm..is anyone adding extra things to their registry? I think I might need to..a lot of it has been purchased...and well..I got a bunch of it at the shower.

ETA: I am moving next weekend (7 days before the wedding)! I am crazy, right? Well wish us luck/dust for a safe and quick move where no one gets injured or anything please!

22 Days until my wedding! I can't believe it's coming so fast!



We went and got our marriage license today. I can't believe how REAL that made it all feel! I mean, of course it's felt real this whole time, but now the MARRIAGE part feels real, instead of just the party planning aspect.



I am so excited! I have butterflies every day! All of the patients at my work (I work in a drs office) are doing the countdown with me.

It's so cute.



Ahhh! I just can't believe it's almost here!



Also, on Saturday I had my first meeting with my DOC and can I just say that I LOVE her?!? We met for almost two hours going over all of the details of the wedding. She brought up things I hadn't even thought of! I feel like she's so with it and on top of things. Planning a timeline for the day was stressing the heck out of me and now she's going to be taking care of it and contacting all my vendors, etc. so I'm thrilled about it!



Guest list is pretty much set, as is the seating chart. We only have two maybes, my aunt and uncle. I just sent them an email to find out the status on whether they can come or not.



Went to the flower place with FMIL, FSIL, and FI on Tuesday and we ordered the flowers for centerpieces, bouquets, etc. FMIL was getting on my nerves a bit because she's SUCH a control freak, but I think FI and I finally got our vision across to her. She kept trying to talk us into flowers/greenery that we didn't like...

But I'm feeling pretty good about it. We're going to go to her house after the rehearsal dinner to make the centerpieces, and the morning of the wedding she's going to put the bouquets, corsages, and boutonnieres together.



I think the only things I have left are:


- Finish favors


- Finish place cards


- Wedding night lingerie

- Pick up dress/veil the week of the wedding


- Figure out if we're going to have a horse drawn carriage take us from venue to hotel. I have a business card for them but haven't called yet.. Need to do that today...


- Make final payments



Umm, I think I have a few other minor things, but mostly I feel pretty good about everything.



Oh! And our honeymoon is booked! 7 days on the island of Kauai in a condo right on the beach.

I'M SO EXCITED!!!!!!!!!!!

Pearl, where are you staying? FI and I were just talking about getting a condo on Kauai next year for vacation. I'd love info on prices and I can't wait to hear about your trip!

One of my moms good friends actually owns a bunch of condo's on Kauai and so she's giving us a deal. But many of them seem reasonably priced for being private condos.

We started doing up our mass booklets

Have asked friends to be readers at wedding

My sister got me and agent provocateur garter-I adore it!

The BM''s baskets are all done up now, apart from the earring which I have to get them.

All RSVP''s are received

Seating plan is pretty much done up

5 more days! I''ve only got a few minor things to take care of - one of my attendant gifts doesn''t arrive until Thursday (it had been backordered since April), so I''ll need to pick up and wrap that, and FI needs to get one of his best men a gift (I''ll wrap it, but I refuse to shop for it - it will be the first and only wedding related thing I''ve asked FI to take care of on his own). Besides that, I''m done! I''ve even completed set-up/clean-up checklists for my friend who will be taking charge of all that. Whew! It''s nice not to have to worry about anything the whole week before the wedding.

Pay photographer
Make final payment on the venue (day of wedding)
Drop off checks at the venue for reception flowers and chairs
Put together must have picture list and choose picture locations
Put together the OOT boxes
Check on getting an upgrade at the Westin where we''re staying on the night of the wedding
Set up car service to get to/from the airport
Line up cat sitter for while we''re away on our honeymoon (leaving the morning after the wedding)
FI needs a tux
Buy travelers checks
Order FI''s ring from Etsy
Get groomsmen gifts
choose father/daughter dance song
Do place cards (I''ve got the stuff, a woman at my work has amazing handwriting and will do them for me)
Hair trial
book hair stylist
Buy necklace
Pack for honeymoon
Get house ready for wedding guests

A few more things checked off the list and a few more added.

Pearl, I showed FI that website and he was drooling. It looks fantastic!

Well I''m getting really stressed. I think that when we hit the 2 week mark, I''m going ot be psychotic. Unfortunately, I keep eating. I''ve gained 3 pounds! Not good. So now I''m in major diet mode, so I can get into that altered dress. Talk about added stress!
